Fox News Channel’s Geraldo Rivera told his co-host Tuesday on FNC’s “The Five” that American was “hooked on weapons” while discussing of the mass shooting in Buffalo, NY, on Saturday.
Rivera said, “Can I tell you about a dinner I had with President Trump in February 2018, the day after the Parkland school massacre? He and the first lady had just visited the victims in the hospital. He came to the dinner. He was rattled. It was a private dinner at Mar-a-Lago. Eric and Don Jr. were there, and Laura, but it was just us. And we were really head to head. The president asked, ‘What can I do? Those wounds were horrible.’ The rifle that Cruz had used to kill these 17 kids was — these wounds, they looked like war victims. And I said, ‘The kid is underaged. Why don’t you pass a juvenile assault weapons ban? A juvenile assault weapons ban. If you can’t buy a beer, you can’t buy an AR. If you can’t drive a semi, you can’t have an assault weapon. What’s wrong with that?'”

I have been shooting since my grandfather had to hold up the end of the rifle for me. I am 74 years of age today. I have many weapons and fire them on my own range at my home. It is fun and a paper target is in dire danger of my rifles. I have never raised a weapon in anger. I carry a weapon just for legal defense of self and innocents. I wish not to fire my weapons at a human but will if necessary. I am very good with such.
I do not even hunt anymore. I lost the joy of killing game animals but have no problems with ethical hunters. I just do not want to kill anymore unless it is vermin on my land which I dispatch efficiently. My friend hunts my land and we share the venison and turkey, it is delicious. We have put over 100 pounds of deer in the freezer this year as in past years. We clean and process it ourselves to most excellent standards. It tastes wonderful.

I don't think the recent ruling mentioned "assault weapons". I believe it was regarding "semi-automatic rifles".
Even people 21 or over can't buy "assault weapons" in California. It's far too dangerous for people to keep and bear arms that have pistol grips on them. Or those very lethal flash suppressors. And don't even get me started on the evils of having an adjustable stock.

Yep. My dad grew up on a farm and went to school in a one-room schoolhouse. The farm kids all brought their guns to school, and by some miracle they never shot each other. Imagine that.
