Quite frankly one of the most outrageous speeches ever given by an American politician. In the ashes of tragedy rather than trying to comfort a grieving community he fans the flames of division and slandering the nation he leads. Disgusting!
“Assault weapons” are military hardware; civilians don’t have them. We have “scary black rifles”, which no Assault Weapons Ban will solve,and shouldn’t. It’s not a gun violence problem; it’s a criminal violence problem, and once again, the FBI/BATF let another one (Buffalo shooter) slip thru the system’s checks, and commit a massacre.

The primary reason we have a Second Amendment as detailed in Federalist 46 is to enable the citizenry to defend themselves against any external military aggression and as a firewall against a tyrannical government.
