Putin's commanders are slaughtering their own wounded soldiers rather than retrieving them from the battlefield for medical treatment, captured Russian soldiers reveal Lieutenant-colonel is accused of shooting dead multiple injured Russian troops Army intelligence troops captured by Ukraine say they say the killings Ukraine has accused Russia of failing to take back its war dead

Russian commanders are slaughtering their own wounded soldiers instead of retrieving them from the battlefield for treatment, according to Putin's own troops.

A lieutenant-colonel was accused of personally shooting dead multiple troops as they lay injured.

The commander asked one soldier if he could walk, and when the man replied he could not, the officer killed him instantly.

The chilling account comes from young army intelligence troops captured by the Ukrainians.

They are shown speaking in a video clip made by Ukrainian journalist Volodymyr Zolkin who has chronicled Russian captives for Open Media Ukraine.

One soldier told how commanders had 'finished off their wounded'.

Asked by Zolkin what he meant, the captured Russian said: 'Just like that…a wounded soldier is lying on the ground, and a battalion's commander shoots him dead from a gun.'

He explained: 'It was a young man, he was wounded.

Javelins aren’t changing anything because they can’t get anywhere near tanks or artillery.

But the Russian artillery holding them off at 20 to 30 miles is old and cheap. It's very very old. And cheap. Like the Russians have always done. That's why they lost to Napoleon and Hitler. Lots and lots of old cheap artillery. Very old.

Don’t be ageist….I’m old and cheap, but still relevant…

It’s odd. These “conservatives” who won’t be happy until Putin reconstitutes the U.S.S.R.

Perhaps there is a suspicion about any conflict where the likes of Pelosi and Schiff are so enthusiastically on board.

We lose war after war because combat is messy and requires that you get up close and personal with the folks in the territory you are trying to control, which brings you in range of lead propelled with powder - both really cheap - and just as deadly today as when invented centuries ago.

Without knowing the truth I will make a general response to the idea a commander would kill their own men rather than remove them from the combat zone (when possible).

There are many aspect to fighting and winning a war. Having the best equipment and the most men is not always what wins battles (and eventually the war).

It is understanding that to win you have to remove the will to fight from the other side. If you as a commander are careless about the lives of the men you order into combat they will not be willing to fight for you. Their morale will go down and if desperate enough they will turn against you.

Your enemy wins by default.

So I doubt this story is true unless the commander is a completely ignorant about the way of war.

If it was me I’d take a long look at his lieutenants as this was going on. Then I’d take a long look at the young conscripts. Then I’d find a way to frag them without getting noticed. Toss a grenade when no one’s looking.

Think payback for Malmady.

I’ve read an article about how the former USSR treated it’s severely wounded gets after WW2. The put the most severely wounded, amputees and those with severely disabiliting head wounds on an island and they rarely got them the basic care. The lucky ones straved to death while others lingered until infection or neglect took them.

These soldiers probably are lucky to get shot on the battlefield.

Maybe...maybe not but it sounds like the Russians

To be fair, it does sound rather fatalistic and a very Russian way of dealing with the problem.

“...But I don't for one second believe that Ukraine or our politicians funneling (and laundering) billions of dollars is on the up and up.

Zelenski has been made out to be a hero, but I'm not so sure...”

I agree.

Then, that puts Zelenski in a really dangerous spot. If he doesn't succeed, the Russians will off him. If he succeeds, it's just as bad because he has the straight skinny on a lot of people, "O'Bozo" and the Biden family included.

Poppycock with a cherry on top.

Looks like the drag queens, unable to read to kids in the library, are writing trash for biden.

My human enemy is a monster, literally...to his own kind...even eats his own kids...unlike planned parenthood America.
