The USA may have the better highly creative and inventive people later in life but I would be very surprised if the average American achieved more than the average South Korean.

Korea wins in suicides, less babies, etc. Define 'win'. Seems like families in the US have more stuff, home sqft, cars, 'stuff' so much we need storage units, etc. We certainly win via crime, debt, and society decay.
If looking at individual talent, the US leads via because of the gains from talented immigration successes, ie Musk.
Asian countries have kept their cultural identifies etc via less immigration.

Nature and Nurture are both necessary but not indivually sufficient. To illustrate think of two scenarios:
1) The most genetically intelligent baby ever is born in a Planned Parenthood facility and used for parts.
2) A bag of rocks is given the finest education ever.
