One thing I love about FR are the spirited debates especially during election cycles. I’ve learned a lot from my fellow FReepers as they are certainly smarter than I am. Over the years spirited debate has degenerated into ridiculous name calling and childish insults among some but not all. As the culture goes….

I agree. It’s not so much the commentary but the topics we comment on. It’s still the news although somewhat better than just the mainstream version. I don’t know the exact percentage but I think 90% of news is on the negative side.
