One city in Florida and three in Texas. I hope they stay red.

I’m in Phoenix. Prices are way up. Local home-buyers have to compete with Californians with cash in hand. Prices have leveled off mostly, but with interest rates up 40% compared to a year ago, a 30 year mortgage is not a great deal. I am glad we bought last year.

I looked at San Antonio- the cost of living is too high.

most recently identifying the country's top states for movers as Tennessee, Texas and Florida.
All three of those states have no state income tax. (The list: Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming )

This method would only count arrivals, not exits... Chicago is in the top ten because it is large... but I’m pretty confident that the net change is megative, not top ten positive.

If I were moving I would go to San Diego. I might go to the beach today even though it is barely beach weather (72 degrees but sunny).

Keep in mind this reflects the demographics of people who rent vehicles to move... self-movers.
Would be interesting to compare against professional movers.

I don’t see any TN cities listed. Here in eastern TN we’re being inundated with newcomers. New homes were built across the street from us and residents have been moving in. Good news is that they’re staunch conservatives from CA and OH.

Twenty five years ago, my brother worked for a realty company in Ft Worth-Dallas.
He said lots of Californians were selling out, moving to FT Worth-Dallas and purchasing the same type home they had in Cali, and still had lots of money left over.
One sold his home in FT Worth and moved BACK to Cali because he said the lifestyle in that area was “too slow” for him.

i’ve lived in CA for my entire life. During it’s glory days of real Republican leadership under Reagan, Deukmejian, and Wilson it was paradise on earth. Once the Dem psychos gained control of the legislature it’s been an express elevator to hell.
My family and I are thankfully moving to Texas next month and can’t wait to see this $41thole state disappear in the rear view mirror. We will be bringing our conservative values and help keep Texas red!

I am thrilled that my state, South Carolina, isn’t on this list. I am thrilled that my county, Aiken, isn’t on lists like this.
