A coule of years ago, I read a book by an Orthodox priest from Englang who visited some famous monasteries in Greece. This was in 2016, and while in Greece the priest met an Othodox priest from the Ukraine who was trying to gain permanent residency in one of the Greek monasteries because he feared for his life back in the Ukraine.

He claimed that the Ukrainian government - the one preceding the Zelensky administration - had been "installed by the CIA," was "fascist," and was murdering Christians on a regular basis. This was the government that followed the pro-Russian government that was usurped during the "Maiden Revolution" encouraged by the US and EU.

At the time, I didn't know what the priest was talking about and took it with a grain of salt, but articles like this - along with several others I've seen recently - make it seem like there is at least some truth to his allegations.
