Kathy Boudin, who spent decades in prison for her part in the deadly 1981 Brink’s armored truck heist as a member of the radical militant group Weather Underground, died of cancer at the age of 78 in New York on Sunday.
In October, 1981, Boudin and members of the group teamed up with the Black Liberation Army for the robbery to help fund their anti-government campaigns. They targeted a Brink’s armored truck, which they held up in Rockland County, making out with $1.6 million.
During the robbery, gunmen killed Brink’s security guard Peter Paige before transferring the money to a U-Haul truck a mile away, where a 38-year-old Boudin sat in the cabin.

Kathy Boudin was born on May 19, 1943, into a family with a long left-wing history. She was raised in Greenwich Village, New York City. Her family was Jewish and her paternal grandparents had emigrated from Russia and Austria. Her great-uncle was Marxist theorist Louis B. Boudin, and her brother US Judge Michael Boudin. Her father, attorney Leonard Boudin, had represented controversial clients such as Judith Coplon,[5] the Cuban government,[6] and Paul Robeson.[7] A National Lawyers Guild attorney, Leonard Boudin was the law partner of Victor Rabinowitz, himself counsel to numerous left-wing organizations.[8] Kathy Boudin attended Bryn Mawr College and was valedictorian of the class of 1965.[9][10]
Boudin fell in love with David Gilbert in the 1970s and gave birth to their son Chesa in 1980.

I played a small part in preventing Ayers wife, Dohrn, from being accepted into the Illinois State Bar and getting her license a couple of decades ago for her proud role in public criminality, aggravated battery conviction, among others. She is also suspected of planting a bomb that blinded a cop in California and delivered the keynote address at the 1969 Weatherman convention, publicly praising Charles Manson and laughing about “that fork stuck in the pig’s stomach” and commemorating the murder of Sharon Tate who was eight months pregnant. Dohrn nonetheless went to work for the corporate law firm of Sidley & Austin in Chicago (where Mrs. Obama worked while she flunked the Illinois bar which 90 percent of applicants pass, curious coincidence) then of course, Dohrn became a law professor at Northwestern University. We have to fight this bunch every step of the way or they will proudly kill us off.
