As far as I know, President Trump and Ted Cruz are on good terms. However, Cruz has taken some snipes at him. Sort of like what we used to call "kidding on the square".
No doubt Cruz had higher aspirations but President Trump put the kibosh on that in 2016. Cruz isn't a natural born citizen anyway.
