The Russian military is furious that Putin has downsized the invasion of Ukraine and called for a new escalation of the conflict.
As the Kremlin's war effort stumbles against a dogged Ukrainian resistance, leading figures in the Red Army have reportedly begged Putin to take the country for good.
Military and pro-war Telegram channels are now flooded with calls to commit greater resources to Ukraine and 'fight NATO', according to Russian news agency Agenta.
Special forces veteran Alexander Arutyunov pleaded with Putin to upscale the invasion in a viral post, asking: 'Vladimir Vladimirovich, are we fighting a war or masturbating?' Special forces veteran Alexander Arutyunov pleaded with Putin to upscale the invasion in a viral post, asking: 'Vladimir Vladimirovich, are we fighting a war or masturbating?'
In a viral rant posted by YouTuber and Spetsnaz special forces veteran Alexander Arutyunov, whose channel Razvedos has almost 18million views, Arutyunov slammed the pivot to the eastern Donbas region.
He asked Putin directly: 'Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, please decide, are we fighting a war or are we masturbating?
'We need to stop this dry h***job.'
Meanwhile Russian Air Force Telegram FighterBomber wrote to members: 'We’ll further increase air defense units on the border with Ukraine in order to cover our territory from ballistic missile strikes, but it is also clear that NATO countries have far more weapons than Russia.'

They need to check the palms of their hands........getting a bit hairy.
Pure propaganda.
Oh, we can have SO much fun with this one....
Coarsening of society continues apace. F-bombs and now onanism in headlines. Disgusting.
So Russia has its own neocons who are thirsting for total nuclear war, just like ours.
Nice. Maybe our species is not meant to survive. There’s a flaw somewhere which drives us eventually to destroy ourselves.
I pray that’s not the case.
First we hear the Russian military is upset with Putin because he attacked, now it is because his attack wasn’t larger. We could obtain as accurate information from a Magic 8 Ball.
I think that sentiment is real. Russia really is carrying out a special operation and not fighting a war but by doing that you are putting your soldiers and country at greater risk, especially when NATO is involved.
If they keep it up they’re going to come a cropper.
Thinking of the preacher’s prayer in Blazing Saddles...
We await your orders, Comrade Toobin!
Propaganda from Russia.
Veteran thinks he can do the operation better. A story as old as time.
Typical Daily Mail headline.
One of the biggest lies of Western media is that the attack on Ukraine was simply all Putin's fevered blood-lust
In fact, NATO is universally despised among Russian Government/Military. NATO expansion is recognized by the majority of Russians as a threat to Russia. Ukraine in NATO was considered a red-line for 20 years. Even the drunk Yeltsin, who the CIA helped elect, complained about it. The only difference is that then, there was nothing he or Russia could do about it.
Mark Levin must love these guys pushing for WW3
“I think that sentiment is real. Russia really is carrying out a special operation and not fighting a war...”
Yeah, just like Korea in 1950-1953 and Vietnam in 1964 - 1975 were just “police actions.”
This is a PR video made under orders from the Kremlin.
Putin is going ‘small, trying to save face, since the bigger goal of all of Ukraine was unattainable. Putin underestimated the fury and fight and obstinacy of the Ukrainians.
What Putin got was huge losses of soldiers and military equipment and, most important to him, prestige.
He’s not going away quietly, and HAS TO finish what he started, otherwise, he’s going to be in deep doo=doo with his military and the Russian people, where respect for him will be completely gone. He might even have to disappear from view, so, he’s got no choice but to finish what he started, even if the goals have been diminished.
“In fact, NATO is universally despised among Russian Government/Military.”
Of course; the Russians don’t want any opposition.
