One of the things I like about DeSantis is he says openly and clearly what so many of us 'traditional Americans' think. He is one of us. But with the power to do something about what he sees as wrong. A power he is using on a continual and very effective basis.

It’s not easy to turn a migrating liberal into a conservative. They’d have to be mugged, multiple times. Barring that, unfortunately they’ll keep their old way of thinking in their new homes.

This is exactly the opposite of what DeSantis actually said.
He said that in-migration is making FL MORE Republican, and that more Republicans than Democrats have moved there from all 49 other states. He actually rebutted the fear that he is quoted here voicing.
