DeSantis calls San Francisco a 'dumpster fire,' fears Californians importing 'destruction' to Florida

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took aim at San Francisco, calling the city a "dumpster fire" while expressing fears over what would happen if companies there relocated to Florida.

"There is cause for concern," DeSantis said during an event Monday. "Texas would have all these companies moved from California over the years. So you'd have companies move from San Francisco to Austin, and they'd bring hundreds of employees with them. And those employees would vote the exact same way they voted that turned San Francisco into the dumpster fire that it is

DeSantis expressed fears that California voters could begin moving to Florida, saying they fail to make the connection between "leftist" policies and the problems they left behind.

"It's like the leftism, they will not draw the connection between their leftist ideology and the destruction that's all around them," DeSantis said. "It is a problem because I do think there’s a class of voters who would come to Florida, and they would continue to vote the same way."

The Republican governor's comments come as many high-profile companies and entrepreneurs in the technology industry have either expressed interest in, or already have, moved from California to Texas and Florida.

California has always been majority Republican (were you born just yesterday? Never heard of this guy called Reagan?) Also all leftists in California are migrants from other states who were never invited there in the first place, so good riddance they are leaving

My daughter when she lived in Oregon would tell me almost every week there would be a dumpster fire outside her apartment. I have never seen a dumpster fire in my entire life but then again I don’t live in a democrat run city.

This is exactly the opposite of what DeSantis actually said.

He said that in-migration is making FL MORE Republican, and that more Republicans than Democrats have moved there from all 49 other states. He actually rebutted the fear that he is quoted here voicing.

Very shoddy reporting.

Florida is a sump for New Yorkers, New Jerseyites, and Massholes who having ruined their home state (ie they sh!t where they ate ) are too stupid and even more relevant are too arrogant to consider that their voting patterns caused them to move to a better place.

Very true. They are a cancer. A fast spreading cancer. I know a lot of folks, conservatives who lived in liberal states, got fed up and moved to places like Florida, but sadly a lot of flaming libs do too. Hopefully f,orifa remains mostly conservative. I just hate the fact that we have to fight so dang hard just to try to keep law and order, morality and decency in this country. It’s an exhausting never ending battle between good and evil, which seems to be swaying left too often.

Abso-damn-lutely! I really like Crenshaw’s idea that nobody from California be able to vote in Texas for some period of time after moving here, to give them time to get their heads right. Don’t CA my Texas!

How about a 15 day waiting period for voters coming from CA? The same as they have chosen for guns. Just 15 days “cooling off period”.

15 *election* days.

My relatives in rural Oregon were forced to sell and move out of, two beautiful rural properties because of legalized dope, doper criminal scum and hangers on moving into the community.

A lifetime of community building and improvement destroyed in two years.

Woke Amerika.
