I just think most of those weapons are going to end up in the hands of criminals. I’m sure Ukrainians are nice enough people but its an amazingly corrupt country even by Eastern Europe standards.
We backed Mujahideen in the 80s and ended up with Osama bin laden...I think we are doing the same thing now.
I am not that pessimistic. For one thing, the Mujaheddin had no national loyalties at all; they were religious extremists who cared little about borders or allegiance to a state. I don't see Ukraine following that path.
