Hungary’s pro-Putin PM Orban claims victory in national vote

Hungary’s nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban declared victory in Sunday’s national elections, claiming a mandate for a fourth term as a still incomplete vote count showed a strong lead for his right-wing party.

(snip)

With around 91% of votes tallied, Orban’s Fidesz-led coalition had won 53%, while a pro-European opposition coalition, United for Hungary, had just over 34%, according to the National Election Office.

It appeared possible that Fidesz would win another constitutional majority, allowing it to continue making deep unilateral changes to the Central European nation.

That sounds like (dare I say it) a "mandate" by the Hungarian people. Given the usual suspects arrayed against Orban--Soros, WEF , et al, I'm surprised there wasn't "trouble".

Leave it it A**Press to throw in a jab with the headline. Also, love the marketing name of the opposition party-sort of like "jumbo shrimp", "Patriot Act", or "honest Democrat".

It can’t be any clearer, can it?

If you aren’t on board with globohomo, open-borders, the MIC and the deep-state, then you are “pro-Putin.”

Its true in Hungary, its true here on FR.

How is Orban “pro-Putin?” Let me guess, if Orban opens his borders, starts pushing for more LGBTQ stuff, and other “our values” issues, that would make him “anti-Putin.” Had Russia not invaded the Ukraine, Orban would be “pro-Trump” I’m sure.

I think a more accurate description of Orban is “PRO HUNGARIAN”. If only our current leadership was pro-American instead of anti-American.

This pro Putin thing needs to be nipped in the bud.

Exactly, and I’ll add that what is being done with Russia right now, the sanctions, the demonization, the cultural ostracism, is just dress rehearsal for what they are going to do to conservatives (even the RINOs- sorry, your accommodationism didn’t persuade them to “kill you last”).

Whom the rats seeks to destroy they first call ‘pro-Putin’.

Pro Putin or Pro Hungary? Is the media tearing him down because of the Tucker interview?

Great summary.

What make Orban “pro-Putin” other than the headline writer? There are no specifics in the article.

I agree. "Pro Putin" has replaced "racist" as the new epithet of the Left and the Uniparty.

My concern is that it is used domestically as a cover for political persecution. It sort of is re: Trump, but since the revelation of the Steele Dossier being a fake, it doesn't have any teeth.

The writer threw that in as a trope. Any pro national, popular movement in any country is going to be labelled “pro Putin”. Its the new “racism”.

This is excellent news.

We should be glad to hear of any country that refuses the Soros/WEF route to national ruin.

Not in exact words, but read any post by rrrod, tlozo, Williams, marcusmaximus and a few others, and its implied.
Normally, I'm not a name tracker, but the ines I've mentioned are the most obvious.
I remember a time on FR where you could sense a zot coming for some of the egregious behavior.

Jimrob is mellowing out, lol.

If you are not on board with Globo Homo, your democratic victory doesn't count.

If you are on board with Globo Homo, the sky is the limit for your support.

Pro national sovereignty and pro national cultural defense seems to be branded as pro Putin. The EU is not happy with this election outcome . Hungary also restricted Soros open society activities in Hungary and that has the NWO disturbed. I also wonder how the LGBTQ referendum came out?

“Hungary’s nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban declared victory in Sunday’s national elections, claiming a mandate for a fourth term as a still incomplete vote count showed a strong lead for his right-wing party.”

No bias above. Here is how the SAME ELECTION could be written about with a conservative doing it:

“Hungarian President Viktor Orban won a sweeping victory for his Hungary-first platform in national elections yesterday, leaving the pro-EU trans-nationalists in a state of shock.”

But THEY control the media, so THEY get to phrase it as if the next Hitler just got himself re-elected. We have rich people on our side...are they EVER going to bother acquiring media outlets?
