Ukrainians have shared pictures of a burning Russian fighter jet they say was shot out of the sky in the Kharkiv region as Putin's forces continue to take heavy damages.
Photos from the scene remains of Russian fighting aircraft Su-35 believed to have been hit by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It is understood the plane was shot down by the anti-aircraft missile troops of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who shared footage of the incident online.
The Su-35, a hi-tech fighter jet worth an estimated £30million, was reduced to rubble. It is understood the plane was shot down in the Kharkiv region of the country.
Deputy Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko confirmed the Su-35 was shot down by Ukrainian forces, reportedly writing: '50 million dollars worth of damage for the ogres!'
Gerashchenko reported that the pilot ejected and tried to escape, but was subsequently detained.

I did not see that video, so I may stand corrected. Strange crash if so.
I have seen plenty of air crash wreckage where the earth is not disturbed much. In the crash below the grass isn't even damaged, but the jet was destroyed and sadly everyone on board died.
Seems odd none of the surrounding dirt was disturbed.
That may rub out...
Grin.
Correct.
I also remember seeing pictures of Saddam Hussain looking like Ron Jeremy as they pulled him out of his hidey hole.
No war crimes then.
Somewhere in Ukraine is a annoyed farmer looking some someone to take that off his wheat field.
Or let it set till harvest and worry about it then.

An interesting thought.
That’s a pilot flight suit? Or did he carry a change of clothes with him?
” That should buff right out. “
Windex.
” Ukes at it again with POW humiliation photos like Iranians, ISIS, the North Vietnamese, Saddam and other messed up places do. “
Yes. So very unsportsmanlike to portray people who invade your country, destroy your cities and kill your relatives in a negative light. He should be in a tuxedo with a complementary glass of champagne and a beignet. Just not cricket, old boy.
Model airplane. Notice that there are no skid marks on the soft ground, and the fires where there is no fuel.
I just don’t understand the gleeful attitude of many freepers when they post “articles” about Russians dying in horrific ways as a result of this war. It’s ghoulish and sad. Every single Russian/Ukrainian killed, injured, or captured is a human being with a family and ppl who love them.
These victims don’t deserve to be disrespected or humiliated because they’re on the “wrong side.” It’s not a video game, FFS!
They are invaders, that is why I have that “attitude.” They invaded a sovereign nation and are bombing it to hell, civilians be damned. So excuse me if I don’t give a F how they die: burned, drowned, exploded...don’t give a single damn. Zero sympathies for an invading army.
I personally hate war. I’m more non-interventionist than anything but nothing is absolute. Everyone has a line and this line was crossed for me. We can’t have a barbaric invading army that invades neighbors for the flimsiest of reasons in 2022. The entire world should stand up and say no to this war criminal Putin and put a stop to this madness.
“Model airplane”
Lol. Good one. I almost thought you were serious for a second.
Ukes at it again with POW humiliation photos like Iranians, ISIS, the North Vietnamese, Saddam and other messed up places do......
How awful!
While putlers scum rape, pillage, and murder.
Not the least bit unusual for a flat spin. No high-speed breakup.
So you’re obviously not aware that the Donbas region of Ukraine voted in 2014 to become an autonomous region just like Crimea. The Kyiv govt. agreed to allow it and signed the Minsk agreement in 2015. Then Poroshenko immediately sent the Azov Battalion to the area to harass, terrorize and shell the area 24/7. Approximately 14,000 civilians were killed in 7 years just because they wanted independence from Ukraine and Poroshenko refused to keep up his end of the bargain. Isn’t that an invasion of a sovereign area too then? And shouldn’t Putin be expected to intervene when it’s mainly Russian Ukrainians being slaughtered?
Any American fighter could have been shot down were it within range of the Starstreak or assorted MANPAD (Starstreak superior because it doesn’t rely on IR emissions). Our operational procedures would preclude that happening. Nothing wrong with the SU-35 in itself that led to this.
No, Putin should not be expected to intervene, period. Not a reason to “liberate” all of Ukraine. Come on...
