And this idea, like many in the Freedom Agenda, calls to mind the creative, can-do approach of the late Republican vice presidential nominee Jack Kemp.
I supported 5% Kemp in the '80s when the field was George the Elder, Bob Dole and Pat Robertson.
This isn't the 1980s.

I’ve been voting for over 40 years. I’ve never once voted for a Democrat ... but there are a few “Republicans” that I’ve refused to vote for. Mike Pence will have to succeed without my vote.
