On Thursday, TSA officials announced new standards for screening transgender, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming airline passengers.
TSA officials said they will begin implementing an enhanced screening technology later this year and also plan on changing its operating procedures to reduce the number of pat-down screenings without compromising security.
Additionally, TSA officials say they have removed gender considerations when validating a traveler’s identification at security checkpoints. They are also making the TSA PreCheck more inclusive.
TSA has updated its Transgender, Nonbinary, and Gender Nonconforming Passengers webpage to provide information to the traveling public on all gender-related updates, including changes to AIT (advanced imaging technology) screening protocols, identity-verification practices, and the TSA PreCheck program.

Oh, for Pete fricken sakes !
you need to add (not the Bee) in the title
they should guard the border
When TSA decides it needs to grope me, I always ask for a female. Wish never granted. Maybe if I preface with “I identify as a female” the gambit will work.
Translation:
anyone who appears insane and to be dressed as the wrong sex will be whisked through without being touched.
Normal old ladies will be forced to be fondled by a gloved pervert. This action will be called: “patting down”.
This is insanity.
I was so worried about this issue 🙄
Great, instead of getting felt up by an ancient bald white guy peer, i can look forward to get felt up by an Amazon transgender black woman, in Newark.
As if there weren’t enough freaks flying already.
So they’ll now cup all genitals equally? /s
So EVERYBODY gets a crotch-grab?
We are such an unserious nation that we deserve to be destroyed.
, maybe after lunch I'll identify as a man, idk, Im gender fluid, depends how I feel, that's what's important to you right?
Not progressive enough. When will male passengers also have the option of an additional orifice to smuggle drugs onto a plane?
For me, TSA = no flying. If I can’t drive it, I don’t go.
My brother has been flying to a satellite office several states away. He found out that after all the airlines crap, schedule wrinkles, delays, etc (experience on several trips), that he could drive it in the same amount of time (an hour less on one trip) & not put up with any of the hassle. He could stop for breaks & a snack whenever he wanted & arrived in a better mood - not pissed off from airline “stuff” including mask Nazis.
Or does it mean that men who don't want to be groped can prevent it by merely saying, "I'm a woman"?
When TSA decides it needs to grope me, I wait until the pat down is well under way and always ask 'You ain't gay are you?' The response is invariably 'No.' sometimes matter of fact, sometimes indignant. The follow up is my saying 'That's too bad, at least one of us should enjoy it.'
The last time the TSA guy cracked up so bad the guy next to me on the put your shoes back on bench turned to me and said 'What in the dickens did you say to him???'
Who pats down trans types: Bio men pat down trans men? Bio women pat down trans women? Or does the TSA require each airport to have one of the 57 wacko varieties on hand?
