The ruble has recouped most of its losses and become the top-performing currency globally. It continues to gain and is up 60 per cent against the US dollar from its lows in the first week of March.
The ruble appreciated to 83 to the dollar intraday on Tuesday against a record low of 139 on March 7. Thanks to the recent rally, the ruble is only about 10 per cent lower than what it was before the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24. The ruble was trading at around 76 before the invasion, according to the data from Bloomberg.
Russia has already won this war. And SO much more. The dollar is in BIG trouble. This is the worst time in history to have Communists running the U.S. government. Buckle up, but cryptos and learn how to can food.
The ruble dollar futures pair trade on the CME because it is cash settled. Front month settled at .0011, still a good ways below the prewar level of .0014
Thank God I listened to my friends son who is heavily into Crypto and has been for over 7 years. I bought a ton of XRP when he told me to. It was pennies. Once the SEC settles their lawsuit with Ripple holders of XRP are gonna be RICH. Extremly rich.
Joe Biden is playing a brilliant game of four dimensional chess to destroy the America Dollar, so is Bad Vlad Putin.
This article is very misleading. They are measuring from a point the Ruble was at it’s lowest. How about showing a metric that isn’t artificially gamed?
“All the US will have to do is quit buying from China.”
Not while retard is in charge!
Who are the real war cheerleaders? Last time I checked, no country has actually come into the war on the Ukraine's side.
So we have war cheerleaders cheering on Putin's war, saying everyone else Neocons/war cheerleaders.
Let's be clear - as of now the pro-Putin people are the evil Neocons war cheerleaders they accuse everyone else of being.
Let's cut through the media noise, and present some facts.

Better than letting the globaliss install a puppet in Russia. bet soros wealth soared with it.
Why do you have to pick a self-serving, artificial date, why not give meaningful numbers?
Russia only has 125 billion in gold. You can tell who failed 3rd grade math. They think the 1% of dollars that trade globally for oil will collapse the dollar if a small portion of the oil trade occurs in other currencies. The the EU knows exactly what Russia’s financial condition is. That’s why they told Putin he could kiss their behinds with his demand to only accept rubles from them and Russia immediately folded when their bluff was called. They don’t have 625 billion in reserves. 75% of that number is frozen in foreign banks.
Pretty much our entire manufacturing sector is outsourced to China. Cutting off trade with China would devastate the U.S. economy. It’s not like you can just go out tomorrow and replace all that manufacturing capacity, even if you wanted to. While I’d be happy to see the cheap Chinese crap go away, we really source some essential stuff from China.
DXY (dollar) is near a 20 year high and up about 6% for the year.
Yes, and that would have a very strong economic impact, even
if done over time.
True...
Thanks for the mention.
I don’t like the appearance of the US Dollar being replaced.
It’s the oil industry that gives me some concern.
Once again though, if the U.S. goes back to supplying it’s
own needs, that sure ruins that theory.
“The Russian leader said money would be paid into Gazprom Bank, which is not a subject of sanctions, and then transferred in rubles to Russia, according to a German statement.”
So, paid in dollars/euros to a Russian bank not subject to sanctions, THEN converted to rubles.
Yeah, that’s a helluva difference right there.
It equates to the very same demand for rubles, but keeps Germany from getting their hands dirty lol
You are right about Rooskies backing down on accepting only roubles for oil and gas payments.

Russia Will Gradually Transfer Gas Payments to Rubles: Kremlin
The Kremlin said Wednesday Russia will not immediately require its natural gas buyers to pay in rubles after Moscow said it will now only accept payments in its national currency.
“Payments and deliveries are a time-consuming process,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said last week that Moscow will now only accept rubles as payment for natural gas deliveries to “unfriendly” countries, which include the European Union.
On Thursday, the Russian government, its Central Bank and energy giant Gazprom are expected to present Putin with a system that will allow gas payment to be conducted in rubles.
“It’s not like... what will be delivered tomorrow, must be paid for by the evening,” Peskov said.
Asking about the possibility of transferring to ruble payments for other Russian exports, Peskov said this was “an idea that certainly needs to be explored.”
And China now owns a lot of food interests in the USA, apparently.
