Musk produced a product that people want and are willing to pay for. Granted he did need government loans to start up but they are paid back. What have you produced Ms. Warren for all the tax dollars “invested” in you salary from years in the pubic sector. You know Betty it might be a good idea to tax political contributions for the greater good.

Warren doesn’t employ those staffers-—The taxpayers do.

“Kind of like she did?”

Yea, he just knows how to play the game better. The fake White Indian is the one of the ones who made the rules for the game. Elon just knows how to work the rules. I must wonder how many elected officials have stock in Elon company.

“All Ford/GM/Chrysler UNION made electric cars get a subsidy of $12,500.”

That is a recent Biden change. All EVs have been getting the $7,500 for years, and some states, like California have had their own state subsidies, as well, for years, years when Tesla was about the only one, or nearly the only well selling EVs. Ford and the other union shops were not making many EVS, and thus unlike Tesla their sales were not dependent on the subsidies, as Tesla’s were. They just want, like Musk, to mine the taxpayers’ treasuries on the “green” agenda.

Yes, I object to all direct subsidies to all buyers of EVs.

Musk did get huge amounts of money from the government,

What money is that?
Do you even know the history of SpaceX and Tesla at all?

but he is not a freeloader for not paying taxes so long as he didn't violate any tax laws

Musk paid a staggering ELEVEN BILL8ON DOLLARS in taxes last year alone, by far the highest taxes paid by anybody in American history.
How much taxes have you ever paid in your life?
Stop pushing nonsensical far left propaganda and disinformation from Pocahontas.

Musk was very rich when he got into Tesla, but he did not found Tesla.
PayPal did not get any government subsidies but it was not Musk's first company.
Musk's first company was Zip2 which he later sold to Compaq for over $300 Million.

If I’m not mistaken, Musk was already quite rich before he started Tesla, and his first business, PayPal, didn’t get any government assistance.

Almost all true. PayPal wasn't his first business, he created a number of businesses. One was a Yellow-pages online type of business, and mapping service online. Musk envisioned the future and created futuristic businesses. He plowed his earnings into creating new business ventures, rather than sit back and revel in luxury like Elizabeth Warren did on the taxpayer's dime.

I used to call Musk a miner - he mines the public treasuries for the subsidies without which Tesla would have folded long ago.

Any taxpayer loans were a fraction of the money Musk borrowed, all of which were paid back early and with interest to the government, unlike fraudulent GM.

Most of the loans were from venture capitalists and other companies like Toyota (which sold off their shares of Tesla to gain a huge profit, shares of which were compensation against the loans of Toyota to Tesla).

I hate Warren, but on that score (about Tesla really) she is correct.

You again?
Pocahontas is not correct on anything. Tesla got a loan of under $500 million from the government in 2008 when the economy was collapsing, which they paid back IN FULL and with interest and early. The government made a very nice profit from it.
At the same time in 2008, the government gave a loan of a MASSIVE $50 BILLION to GM, of which they lost over $11 Billion.

U.S. government says it lost $11.2 billion on GM bailout

https://mobile-reuters-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSBREA3T0MR20140430?amp_js_v=a6&amp_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQKKAFQArABIIACAw%3D%3D#aoh=16485791393471&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.reuters.com%2Farticle%2Fus-autos-gm-treasury-idUSBREA3T0MR20140430

Go harrassed GM for not paying back tax payer dollars.

I used to call Musk a miner - he mines the public treasuries for the subsidies without which Tesla would have folded long ago.

Just how much tax payer money went into Musk's first two companies that made him rich in the first place, Zip2 and PayPal? Answer: ZERO.

There is a YouTube channel called “Commonsense Sceptic” that has a lot of solid analysis about how most of Elon’s gains are illgotten

Most such anti Musk “channels” on YouTube are run by crazy people out looking to make easy money.
Most of what they dish out is garbage.

That is a recent Biden change.

Bide wants to give special union subsidies to car companies companies that employ UAE workers, which would exclude Tesla (no unions), but he couldn't get the bill passed.

All EVs have been getting the $7,500 for years,

Tesla EVs haven't gotten any government subsidies for close to three years. Ford is still getting the EV subsidies.

for years, years when Tesla was about the only one, or nearly the only well selling EVs.

Um, GM was making EVs before Tesla was even founded.

So lets see how the Democrat scam works. We take your tax money in a big pile. But we compensate you by making some business loans and building roads etc. So now my question for Ms Warren is which of these this is:
1) An honest and fair exchange where people get the services they pay for from the government.
2) A dishonest scheme were SOME people get unfairly favored.
3) A total rip off for everybody where nobody gets back out what they put in except for those that work for the government.

Which is it then Ms Warren? If you say 2 or 3 then scrap the system. But if you say 1, then on what basis do you go after Elon Musk since nobody gets any special treatment?
