Actually, the smarter a person is, the MORE they realize they don’t know everything—and the gulf of the unknown only grows.
Since one cannot be everywhere, one would expect witness testimony of a thing or event to enlighten them as to what occurred.
We rely on that witness to be truthful.
In the past 100 years, we have had the camera and microphone become that witness. Now people can even fake video and audio.
So...
