Aerorozvidka (Aerial Reconnaissance) is being used to attack Russian drones and target Vladmir Putin's army of tanks with the help of the newly available Starlink system which improves internet and connection speeds
US billionaire Elon Musk's new technology helps to keep Ukrainian drones connected with their bases It comes as the country has continue to suffer through internet and power outages throughout the invasion
The Starlink app is the most downloaded in Ukraine with global downloads tripling in the last two weeks
Elon Musk's Starlink satellite system is giving Ukrainian forces the edge in winning the drone war as the nation fights back with technology to track down invading Russians.
Aerorozvidka (Aerial Reconnaissance) is being used to attack Russian drones and target Vladmir Putin's army of tanks and track down their positions in the conflict, which has been ongoing since February 24, according to The Telegraph.
Drones used in the field are able to use the newly available Starlink to keep connected and provide intelligence as internet and power outages plague Ukraine.
With the technology, the drones can be directed to drop anti-tank munitions to help ward off the Russian attack.
The so-far-successful implementation of the satellites into the defense of the war-torn nation makes good on a promise outspoken mogul Musk - who challenged Putin to a fist fight for the future of Ukraine earlier this week - made to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier in the month, that SpaceX will send more Starlink satellite stations to provide internet to some of the country's stricken cities.
The president of the embattled country took to Twitter to thank the Tesla CEO, 50, for the support, and invited the tech mogul to visit Ukraine once the war is over.

So you know all about the Azov Battalion and various other assorted radical militias allowed to run rampant in Ukraine? And the opposition journalists that have been silenced by the Ukrainian govt.? And the history of corruption and other shenanigans that have gone on for decades in Ukraine? And you’re still rooting for them to “win,” even if it means a world war??!!? 😲
After watching the Russian performance in Ukraine I doubt they had killer satellites in the 70s and if they did how many did they have or in the 70s did they have 2-3 satellites used as demonstration units meant to project more power than they actually had.
Just like Russia demonstrated hypersonic missiles that have shown to be indecisive, a 5th generation fighter that may not have been used in this war and a supposed main battle tank that is superior to the M1 Abrams which we haven’t seen
Thanks!
I am
Uncertain if that report about 1982 was correct or not.
This seems to indicate it maybe didn’t happen?
See what you think —
Again, I really don’t know
Thanks

Way to go, Elon.
Good lord you think you’ll get what happened or not from some Googling? That question and those answers at that link are stupid. There was no “tricking the operator into installing software.” What happened is we knew they buying controllers via a front company. We had “special” firmware installed in that eqiptment. I loved Casey, Reagan’s CIA Director. Old school OSS mindset, conduct ops on all fronts in every way possile. Walk and chew 28 different flavors of gum at the same time. That is how you win.
“Unfortunately, there’s (sic) several here on FR that support Putin”
And there are several here on FR who support neither corrupt government. They’re both equally terrible. And our own government isn’t any better.
Q: How do we know Putin is really in charge?
Is Bite Me? Johnson? Macron? Turdeau? Zelensky?
Starlink has over 1500 active sats up and they are launching 40 to 50 a week every week or other week on Falcon 9s. Russia would have to launch hundreds of individual interceptors at a tempo that continued for months on end. Basically impossible the advantage is to the satellite swamp vs antisat. If they developed something similar to the USA multiple kinetic kill vehicle that was proposed where side can sized MKV would be lofted 50 to 100 at a time into orbit and each one could hunt down and kill a starlink then they might make a dent. The other choice is high altitude megaton class EMP which would put so much charged particles in the van Allen radiation belts every LEO sat not shielded would be dead in days if not hours. The ones in line of sight would be crippled immediately. It would be a declaration war on the whole planet since every nations LEO fleet would be crippled.
There is no evidence that the Ukes were able to integrate the starlink fixed ground based antenna to the top of a drone. That said SpaceX and Starlink have proven that the system works under high dynamic movement. That first tested it via a C130 in flight then a fighter jet but those were not standard ground user terminals they were DARPA built custom phased array antennas that were modified to use the Starlink communication frequencies and protocols. Starlink themselves are marketing to commercial aviation industry so they do have a working prototype for high-speed mobile phased array antennas it’s doubtful that Musk sent those over to be put on drones. What is likely it the drones are using their own datalinks to send ISR data back to a forward command post that does have a ground based Starlink terminal which is then sending Intel to national level command. That is the 99% what is happening.
I’d say my average is right about 150Mbps down and 15 up.
I’ve seen as high as 300 and as low as 80. My previous was cell phone hotspot that ran maybe 120k on a good day, so I’m quite happy with Starlink. It does drop now and then for a few seconds, maybe handing off from one sat to another.
I’m a big fan of Starlink and realized early on if the system lived up to it’s claims, it would be a game changer in ways we could not imagine at the time.
What’s happening in Ukraine is a prime example, assuming it’s true, I’m not sure Elon Musk or anyone associated with Starlink in beginning would have imagined the system being used by a country as a way to target an invading country’s armored columns.
Starlink is going to do nothing but get better, even with 1500 satellites it’s pretty amazing, when it gets to 4000 Satellites or more, the potential uses are really off the charts.
If Musk keeps implementing across planet earth, he could wind up being the world’s worlds first trillionare. Unlimited potential.
Ok thanks for the information.
(As for multi- tasking, my talents are severely limited I can barely manage watching the boobtoob while eating ice cream. Smiles smiles )
You still don’t understand that it’s literally their name?
Thank you for a lifetime of dedicated service to the greatest nation/society this rock has ever produced. Sorry, for you, current active, reserves, veterans that America has so devolved from what we were once protecting.
I’m sure, if you look then and compare it today, I see some similarities.
The Russians have not been shy about showing the latest military technical achievement, they have uses very few that we know of hypersonic missiles.
I have not seen any indication they have used their newest advanced fighter jet, SU-57 or latest battle tank T-14 Armata.
My quess is the Russians have very few hypersonic missiles and no SU-57 jets or T-14 Tanks they are willing to risk in combat.
.
stop the needless panicking
So funny! You cannot comprehend that a negotiated settlement is the win President Putin was after? That can happen as long as we keep our little Richard beaters out of it.
We could easily get involved as you seem to wish and start a WWIII MAD ballistic exchange.
With all of your best rationalizations could you explain how what President Putin is doing is much different to our invasions of Panama, Grenada, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan?
Come to think of it, President Putin has a better reason than we did with all of our military actions, Russia has a regional back and forth connection through the past 1000 years.
