Ukraine humiliating Russia on battlefield, says military expert
BBC ^ | 18-MAR-2022 | James Clarke

Posted on 03/18/2022 8:55:19 AM PDT by SpeedyInTexas

Ukraine is "humiliating" Russia on the battlefield and "wiping the floor with them in terms of world opinion", says a UK military expert.

Prof Michael Clarke, former director of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) think tank, says: "The Russians are making almost every tactical mistake it is possible to make."

Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, he explains: "They [Russian troops] look like forces that were completely unprepared, that hadn’t thought through what a major campaign might look like.

"The Ukrainians are stalling the Russian advance in all areas and even operating now quite effective counter attacks. The Russians are losing a lot of equipment and troops."

this is definitely going to be decided by logistics...Ukraine can lose every major battle but win if Russia runs out of its prepositioned supply’s before forcing concessions. unfortunately, it will be a pyric victory costing the Ukraine a lot for its independence.

says a UK military expert.

The Brits are talking pretty tough with Russia. I guess they think Putin's missiles can't reach them.

The stupidity here is defeaning

22 years here and this may be tops

Of course we are likely ten percent what we were activity wise

Old and dying off

When I was 42 and started here it was Wild West with replies scrolling like a slot machine

And my age then was around median I’d guess

Now it’s likely the media is higher than my 64

And we disprove the adage about wisdom with age ...lol

I guess part of my last post got cut off. My response was going to be that I think it is not a lack of IQ that leads people to ask questions like that. It is intellectual dishonesty. Any fool knows that armies need to be resupplied, so implying that needing a resupply means you are losing a war is simply dishonest.

“Something else is going on here”

Why is this so difficult for people to understand.

RUSSIA WANTS MORE OIL
RUSSIA WANTS MORE LAND

no... it’s economic greed and rapacious behavior by Russia.

Russia wants to expand its borders and grab energy fields at the same time.

Sometimes, the simple explanation is the correct one.

“You can’t coerce that many attendees”

Yeah but you might be able to pay ‘em.

I’ve seen people do stranger things for money.....YouTube if full of ‘em.

It would be interesting to see the age distribution of the brainwashed warmongers.

The old timers just got their xenophobia buttons pushed by the mass media.

The youngsters are the victims of the horrid US educational system and are cargo cultists.

Interesting fact: Now, Communist China's Ballistic Missiles can reach them, also.

A military that fights to defend their homeland is more motivated and more willing to fight and die, than a military that invades someone else’s homeland.

I give you, Vietnam.

The irony is that this war was launched in part on the claim that there's no such thing as Ukrainian nationalism or even a true Ukrainian nation. But it is this war itself that actually will greatly strengthen the cause of Ukrainian nationalism and Ukrainian pride.

Putin will have achieved the exact opposite of his goal when this is all said and done.

Whether it is all worth it for Ukraine in the end remains to be seen. They lost literally millions of people in the 1930s because they were subject to the whims of whomever ruled in Moscow. So maybe these tragic losses will be worth it in the end for them to be free to prioritize their own interests over Russia's.

The US didn’t have a chance fighting the British even with French help.

Putin Appears at Moscow Stadium – Praises Troops in Ukraine – Crowd Chants, “Russia!… Russia!… Russia!…”

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/03/putin-appears-moscow-stadium-praises-troops-ukraine-crowd-chants-russia-russia-russia-video/

The globalist/neocon foreign policy once again proves to be a colossal failure. It has not only pushed Russia into an alliance with China that threatens our national security, it has made Putin more popular than ever. We're more likely ot have a revolution and regime change here than they are in Russia. Every warning Putin made about the West has come to pass and Russians will never trust again. We made an enemy of Russia unnecessarily.

All that has come out of fomenting a revolution in Ukraine and soil our hands by working with neo-Nazi a-holes is the deaths of many good people in Ukraine.

It's just like our Syrian policy. We backed and funded the ISIS bastards, who went on to slaughter the Christian population and beheaded a few Americans>

Death to the new world order. Death to the neocon foreign policy.

Yeah.

Too bad they don't talk so tough with their own Muzzie "Immigrants" grooming their Children in their city streets.

Nothing contradictory at all.

1: It’s Russian ground forces who are stuck in the mud. Missiles aren’t.

2. Most are staying and fighting. Some are fleeing.

No contradiction at all.

I think the lesson of this war is that drones and Javelins and a determined leadership and people make assymetric warefare extremely effective. I hope our neocon hawks learned that lesson from Afghanistan and think thrice before their next invasion plans.
