Ukraine is "humiliating" Russia on the battlefield and "wiping the floor with them in terms of world opinion", says a UK military expert.
Prof Michael Clarke, former director of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) think tank, says: "The Russians are making almost every tactical mistake it is possible to make."
Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, he explains: "They [Russian troops] look like forces that were completely unprepared, that hadn’t thought through what a major campaign might look like.
"The Ukrainians are stalling the Russian advance in all areas and even operating now quite effective counter attacks. The Russians are losing a lot of equipment and troops."

Right, Ukrainian honey badgers vs Russian cannon fodder getting paid $50 week. You dont have go be a West Point graduate to figure that one out.
Then why are they begging for help?...
Same reason the guys on Bataan and Corregidor begged for help.
Careful, you apparently are able to detect doublethink. Your freethinking ways are not appreciated!
“Then why are they begging for help?”
Limited supplies.
100k Russians at a Putin rally-soccer stadium. You can’t coerce that many attendees.
Low information supporters? We have the same thing here.
Yup. And too many people are dying on both sides. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to start a war that has women and children dying and what will Rasputin gain by leveling a country? Something else is going on here and only time will tell what the real goal is.
Well whatever the real total story, it cannot be denied that the Russian invasion of Ukraine was not the 3 day walkover that was so widely predicted less than a month ago by all those expert Western analysts.
I will bet the same is true of the Chinese army.
Yeah. The only way this ends is with dead Russian soldiers. The sooner they are killed, the faster this ends.
It sounds harsh…but it’s the reality of the situation.
Because their Javelin factory is on Spring Break?
“ I suspect that if Russia had a more open press, most Russians don’t support Putin’s invasion as well.”
They don’t which is why Putin held a rally in Moscow yesterday for PR purposes.
1) Because munitions can only be used once, and they need more munitions to continue killing more Russians;
2) Putin has apparently decided that if he can't defeat Ukrainian soldiers, he'll just keep killing you Ukrainian civilians. And even if his army has lost all offensive punch, they can still use aircraft and artillery to shell civilian areas.
This isn't complicated. Winning or losing, armies need to be supplied continuously.
Yup. If you saw just the dead on the beaches on D-Day, you might wonder what idiot ordered such a suicidal, doomed attack.
Any sources to those claims?
Love all the conflation by the Putinista bots
In case it escaped your attention the Ukraine is still legally a part of Russia. No boundaries have ever been officially drawn nor any agreement signed severing them from the Russian Federation. As far as the world court is concerned they are Russia.
In a month or two you won’t be talking about this anymore because the MSM will have you frothing at the mouth over the Chinese going into Taiwan. While you are losing your mind over that Putin will finish up his military operation, cut the agreement he wants with Zelensky and go home.
Sort of depends on how one defines "win". Good luck with the occupation, Vlad, and thanks for letting us use the Ukraine and your army as a test ground for some of our newer stuff.
😂
“Yet they keep advancing and taking ground.”
As the Germans did until 1943; then...ooops!
