Yes, back when I was training at places like Fort Hood we discussed fighting outnumbered yet winning. Many Confederate commanders were able to do just that even though they had no advantages in equipment. The Battle of Chancellorsville is perhaps the most cited example. Their hospital is still named Eisenhower, as he was there many years. My guess is that will be Fort Eisenhower going forward.
