Greenwald: The Same Neocons That Pushed Iraq War Are Now Doing It On Behalf Of Democrats And They Are Being Cheered
RCP ^ | 03/17/2022 | Glenn Greenwald

Posted on 03/18/2022 1:50:22 AM PDT by Az Joe

Investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald said the same people who pushed the U.S. into war with Iraq and Afghanistan for Republicans are now back to do the same for the Democrats with a war against Russia. Greenwald told FOX News' Laura Ingraham on Thursday that people should be cautious when the two parties are in lockstep when it comes to war because that means there was very little debate and people were coerced. Greenwald also said Russiagate and the hatred and distrust for Russia that was created is one of the reasons why the Russia-Ukraine conflict could not be solved diplomatically. "This is journalism in 2022," Greenwald said. "There are no standards, there are no ethics. A lot of their readers who they write for want them to lie to them or about their enemies as long as it advances the cause." "I think the more interesting question is the fact that you pointed out to, there is very little debate over something this cataclysmic potentially in the U.S. Congress," he said. "I haven't seen the two parties united in lockstep to this extent since the days after 9/11. I think that lockstep unity produced a lot of bad outcomes. It's generally a bad thing."

Like the ones who keep pushing Romney as a viable president in 2024 because he mentioned Russia is the biggest threat to the USA. Also notice they only joined FR within the last few years. That’s a big tell.

“the 100,000 young people who died last year from Fentanyl overdoses”.

Those weak Americans had already crossed a line.

Rest assured Biden will mess up US responses with our remaining healthy warriors.

We can help Ukraine by flying Ukraine volunteer MiG pilots across Ukraine or Belarus’ borders.

Working against clever US’ responses is Biden’s purge of brave US Generals (at the behest of Obummer) which will stymie every inventive move to help.

Some people here don’t realize that the Russian people are just like the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian oligarchy are just like the Russian oligarchy - only with smaller penises.

“Yet, who are these congresscritters who are calling for war with Russia in Ukraine?”

Salazar, a Congesswoman who represents a large segment of new Americans displaced by Communists in recent years.

I’m glad you are willing to write off 100,000 Americans for being weak.

Ukraine Volunteer Pilots, got it, do we even know if they exist or do we know Ukraine has enough pilots capable of flying the Mig-29s ??

Do we know if Ukraine has the spare parts for the aging aircraft ??

Do we know if Ukraine has the necessary maintenance personnel to maintain the aircraft ???

The point is and I’m sure you know this, fighter jets don’t fly themselves or resupply themselves, can Ukraine handle that or do we have to supply the added parts as well ??

None, we are not the worlds policemen. In fact we have a long history of making things worse. Its also very expensive and would potentially escalate into a nuclear with with up to thousands of times more casualties. It’s not in our backdoor. And half the stuff on the tee vee is straight propaganda. Let europe deal with this on their own.

Forget it, the neocons will do anything to justify bringing us into conflict with any war situation. And they normally distrust the media and pols but then immediately believe everything they see and hear on tv and print about war. It’s comical

“If they are convinced of the cause, let them put THEIR lives on the line.”

Already done during The Cold War—fighting Communists—but the Ukraine Army doesnt need footsoldiers with two bad knees!

“As a Christian, as a human, what is one’s responsibility to act here?”

The MSM quotes Russia and Putin repeatedly, conveniently leaving out the word, “Communists”...

“Some of these same idiots are calling for the assassination of Putin, without thinking for one second how Russia would view that and how they might respond.”

Second in command is Moderate and Western-inclined Dmitry Medvedev.

It’s always somebody else’s fault. Putinists behave like children. Nobody forced Putin to invade Ukraine and murder thousands. All those people would be alive today had he not chosen to do that.

Putin invaded Ukraine to stop the ethnic cleansing that’s been occurring in the Donbas since 2014, and has been allowed to continue by every Western puppet leader that’s been placed in Kiev since Yanukovich was illegally thrown out of office.

But you knew that already.

At what point should verbal threats of “nuclear” from Putin should the US retreat from decades of “Pax Americana”.

Why does anyone listen/believe what the Intelligence(?) Community claims.

My question is why is no one challenging the IC for not knowing how badly the Russian Army would perform in this action and why did the IC not know the problem with tires/fuel, poor training of conscripts and general bad management by Russian commanders. Why are we paying Billions for inaccurate information. Isn’t this what they are supposed to provide; accurate assessment of our adversaries capabilities.

I am reminded of the warning Ike gave about the Military-Industrial Complex, who see boogie men everywhere.

At what point should the US stop have expanding an unneeded NATO to Putins door and get involved (Ukraine) with one of the most corrupt countries on the planet and promising military aid, calling for assassination of its leader and institute a no fly zone, and forcing every country in earth to cut Russia off financially - effectively declarations of war. Acting like the US hasn’t been a bully here is silly

“No US Congress member wants US troops in Ukraine.”

Those members calling for a no-fly zone are calling for US military in Ukraine.

These damn swamp dwellers know one thing; it won't be their kids going into combat in the Ukraine.

Young adults from patriotic, conservative, families will become canon fodder while the 24/7 cable newsies stupidly ask parents of the dead soldiers, "Tell us, how do you feel"?
