He said he had an allowance of $3,300 a month and needed UK government permission to spend money. Fridman, who has a net worth of $10.1 billion, Bloomberg's Billionaires Index said, was sanctioned by the European Union on February 28 and by the UK on March 15.

The Russian oligarch Mikhail Fridman said in an interview that he didn't know how to live, three weeks after coming under sanctions, Bloomberg reported.

He described the EU's sanctions as "groundless and unfair" at the time and said he would contest them, Reuters reported.

Since the invasion of Ukraine began, Fridman's wealth dropped by $4 billion, Bloomberg reported.

"I don't know how to live," Fridman told Bloomberg. "I don't know. I really don't know."

I do not support economic warfare like this.

The principle has been established. Now, if any government doesn’t like you, then can just wave their magic wand and make it so that you can neither buy nor sell in the marketplace.

Oh, sure. Some will say it’s all fine when they do it to Russian Oligarchs. No one will speak out for them. And maybe its fine when they do it for some other unspeakable group. No one will speak out for them either. But the day will come when they will decide to crush your ability to buy and spend, and will there be anyone left to speak out for you?

Once Moscow warms up in springtime, he’ll get back to a comfortable lifestyle.

Western governments should avoid messing with unscrupulous people with lots of wealth and connections.

Join the ranks of the oil worker you helped make unemployable by funding American environmental groups.

You’re not trying to pay the powerbill of a 50,000 sqft mansion or monster yacht or the expenses of your servants.

What exactly is this man’s crime? Unless someone can name a specific crime and what the charges are, this is lawless, bigoted, tyrannical and disgusting……..not to mention disgraceful and embarrassing for the EU and Britain.

It’s theft. They put Oligarch in front of someones name and they think that justifies anything they do but it doesn’t.

I've just read a number of articles on this guy and he is definitely against Russia's war against the Ukraine.

Unfortunately, in times of war, you can't pick and choose who you are going to penalize when they're on the side of the enemy.

Apparently he has never read any articles on how to be a prepper........

You are, of course 100% right. Not sure why just about everyone seems ok with this. This is not unlike what they did to the truckers. This tells me that your money in a bank isn’t at all safe.

Imagine losing your house because the deep state lied about WMD in Iraq, or because they illegally put up a no fly zone in Lybia or because they bombed Syria, or Kosovo. This is just stealing.

We no longer punish people for committing actual crimes, we punish people for political crimes. Quite the obvious trend.

Look at the 1/6 trespassers v. BLM’s burning buildings and stealing.

This attack on oligarchs doesn’t do a damn thing except make the class warfare people feel good.

Yes it does, it makes them think twice on who they are going to profit from and financially support.

It's now apparent these ultra rich Russian businessmen (That's what an oligarch is) are now feeling the financial pinch without watching their mansions being bombed to shit or their multi-million dollar super yachts being seized and sold for auction and the profits used to help rebuild the country their president is destroying.......

You put the can opener on the lid of the can. You turn the handle clockwise.

I usually drain the tuna, but that is a personal preference.

Spam is a completely different animal.

I agree. We have been living in an oligarchy for a while now.

What’s good for US Steel…is good for America.
