Russian forces are firing rockets at a physics institute in the city of Kharkiv that contains nuclear material and a reactor which could lead to a 'large-scale ecological disaster' if hit, according to Ukraine's national security service.

The service said on Facebook on Sunday that the Russians were firing at the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology from Grad launchers. Missiles fired from Grad launchers do not have precise targeting, raising concern that one could damage the reactor and release deadly radiation across Europe.

The science institute houses the Neutron Source nuclear research facility and contains 37 nuclear fuel cells in its core, according Ukrainian foreign minister Emine Dzheppar.

This facility is now in control of the Russian army. They are quite a bit farther along than a lot of maps show.

And the plant being on fire was (another) lie, it was a service building remote from the reactors.

My understanding when fire fights begin near these Nulcelar sites the agreement is Russia will go in and secure the areas, but the Ukrainians will still run the facilities.

The Zaporizhzhia power plant is an excellent example of the chasm between hysterical claims and reality.

The Head of the IAEA gave an update on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant: No radiation had been released, and the reactors were not compromised

Whereas Zelensky (apparently) claimed that Russian tanks were 'shooting at the Reactor Blocks'.

One of these people was not telling the objective truth. Charitably: perhaps Zelensky was being provided with bad information.

But be that as it may: the only meltdowns from Zaporizhzhia were on FR.

My advice would be: just ... wait a bit. The Truth will come out.
