Social Security's Day of Reckoning Could Arrive Soon. Are You Ready?
The Motley Fool ^ | Mar 2, 2022 | Maurie Backman

Millions of seniors today rely on Social Security as a critical source of retirement income. And chances are, many future retirees will depend heavily on those benefits as well.

But Social Security is facing its share of financial challenges that could have devastating consequences for current and future retirees alike. And if lawmakers don't intervene, the results could be downright catastrophic.

There's a serious revenue shortfall at play

Social Security primarily relies on payroll taxes (the ones we all hate paying) to stay afloat. But in the coming years, that income stream is expected to shrink. That's because baby boomers are expected to exit the workforce in droves, and it's anticipated that the number of workers entering the labor force won't suffice in replacing retired boomers.

“You mean the jab didn’t kill off all the senior citizens yet. 🤔 it will in my opinion but only time will tell.”

It fixes and made global warming also.

“Does your Thai wife get a check”

No, however our 8-year-old daughter gets one. I even called SSA to determine if the wife was entitled to a check, they said no unless she wanted to receive the kid’s check.

SS was sold to the people as a retirement account. It actually was:
1. the establishment of a citizen identification number, the SSN.
2. the expansion of government’s control over your money
3. a program to increase dependency on government.
4. a social welfare system
5. an early attempt to “equalize” incomes.

Yep. We also know that isolation weakens your immune system. When the wu-flu was released and people around the world were isolated at home our immune systems were weakened and we got sicker with any illness. I had the wu-flu several times. I got over it pretty quickly. No jab for me. My father in law, well he had the jabs along with the bonus jab. After his stroke, I presume a result of the bonus jab, he went to a rehab facility. He should be out by the end of this month thankfully but damn his wife for pushing the jab on everyone in the family. They’re lifelong democrats.

They are mandatory because the useful idiots voted for democrats who made them mandatory. Root cause analysis.

“But we can’t rule out the possibility of that timeline being pushed up due to the pandemic. “

Did they do the numbers to see if pandemic “offing” a lot of SS recipients was greater than the number of payees going down/being sidelined??

Social Security is a welfare entitlement program just like food stamps. It is Socialism with a massive amount of wealth transfer from those poorer who work to those wealthier who sit doing nothing.

I went to our local SS office in St. Cloud Minnesota to return a check my recently deceased father had received only to find it stuffed with Somali immigrants.

Did I feel the fool for playing by the rules.

(funny how age affects one’s position on Social Security)

I waited until I was 70 to start drawing, been drawing for a couple of years now. I have to say I’m getting used to that check. I’m still working so it’s kind of like a nice raise.

Foreigners who did not pay in one dime are draining the system.

The first thing new immigrants do is get mom and dad over here collecting checks.

Legal immigrants who paid nothing into the system, too.

“I was standing in line at my local SS office once. Two young Hispanic ladies were in front of me with small children. As they entered the building a lady asked what their visit was for. They said “disability”. I assume they were trying to get it.”

I had to go to mine once. There were only a few of us who were actual native born Americans. We’re paying people who never contributed and don’t even speak the language (they provide translators).

““Crazy checks”. That’s the slang term for SSI by people who don’t want to work, but could.”

They have doctors who help them.

Guess we should confiscate the government retirement fund and put it into social security. The government employees can get their retirement from that.

I believe it was planned a new tax scheme where they expected most to die before receiving it, they didn’t factor taxpayers would live longer causing SS to become a black hole for taxes instead of a boon.

Typical to put the burden on the next generation that cannot vote to protect themselves.

"Millions of useful idiots who put their trust in criminal government instead of themselves are about to suffer. No sympathies."

You DO realize that nobody in the US has a choice in the matter, right?
