My guess without reading about it, is that the plant was scrammed in advance and is in a quiescent state not generating power or in danger of a runaway reaction.

And I don’t know about the strength of a reactor container from an outside hit, but I will bet pretty strong.

I am not as concerned as some, but it doesn’t mean bad things can’t happen. Hell, if they are like us, they probably have spent fuel laying all around outside the facility.

I guess I will go read the article and see how off base I am.

That would have been prudent. But, this cluster of six plants provides something like a quarter or a third of the Ukraine's power. Scramming all plants in the facility would have to produce massive blackouts, which so far, I haven't heard about.
