I decided to look at a map of Ukraine and determine the location of this nuclear plant. It is less than 200 miles from the 2 breakaway parts of Ukraine which are directly east. Also within 200 miles Crimea which is due south, parts of Russia which are to the east, and the Black Sea and Sea of Azov. The city appears to be on the main river which runs from Kiev to the Black Sea. So depending on which way the wind is blowing, the breakaway areas, Crimea, western Russia, or the Black Sea could all be poisened. If the Black Sea becomes contaminated, that will not be good for Turkey, or even parts of the Mediterranian.

I clicked the 14 days forecast for Kiev and the wind is predicted to blow in a number of different directions in the next weeks. See this information in the link below:

Let us hope that some people in Russia can convince Putin that he does not want a nuclear disaster in that location.

The fire was apparently in a nearby administrative building, not the actual plant itself. See post 224.
