Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Pyotr Kucherenko died while returning with a Russian delegation from a business trip to Cuba. This was reported to the department.
According to them, Kucherenko became ill on the plane, the doctors could not save the official when the plane landed in Mineralnye Vody.

Russian women appeal to Putin for assistance with their mobilised men - in this new video, women say their men were commanded by a Separate Sabotage Assault Brigade “Veterany” [Veterans], who sent them into meat assaults in Bakhmut, which saw only 130 men survive out of 500. Two platoons have been completely lost. Women claim that “Veterany” “purchased” the mobilised for 25,000 rubles (ÂŁ250) per head to be able to send them anywhere they want. It is unclear which Russian army unit has suffered, it could be the 72nd Brigade which was recently deployed to cover flanks in Bakhmut.

Wagner Group mercenaries likely secured the western administrative borders of Bakhmut City while Ukrainian forces are continuing to prioritize counterattacks on Bakhmut’s outskirts.
ISW previously forecasted that Wagner offensive operations would likely culminate after months of attritional urban combat, and it is unlikely that Wagner will continue fighting beyond Bakhmut at its current depleted state.
Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Wagner Group and the Russian military on May 21 for capturing Bakhmut.
Wagner Group financier Yevgeny Prigozhin predictably claimed the victory over Bakhmut City entirely for himself and his forces.
Russian reactions to the claimed capture of Bakhmut illustrate an increasingly growing divide between the Kremlin’s domestic presentation of the war and the ultranationalist milblogger community’s coverage of Russian operations in Ukraine.

Russian Patriarch Kyrill’s car, a Russian Aurus Senat, crashed into a Volvo XC60. The Russian-made car is completely broken apart at the front as if it hit a boulder. The Volvo on the other side looks pretty good for a car which just got hit by a 6 tons armored limo. The Russian police even tries to hide it, well knowing who that is and what just happened here.
This is so on brand. The Swedish Volvo is a tank and the Made-in-Russia product you can flush the toilet (and the toilet is stolen in Ukraine).

Curious situation developing in Belgorod region this morning. According to online sources, the Russian border post “Grayvoron” was under heavy shelling this morning, followed by an attempt of an uknown tank(s) to drive into its territory. Video of the drone footage has Ukrainian langauge being spoken. Grayvoron is roughly to the west of Belgorod, southeast of Sumy, northwest of Khakriv.
