As Ukraine enters its third day of Russian bombardment following President Vladimir Putin’s invasion this week, a senior defense official said Saturday that Moscow has become "increasingly frustrated" by the lack of momentum.
"We have indications that the Russians are increasingly frustrated by their lack of momentum over the last 24 hours, particularly in the north parts of Ukraine," the senior defense official said. "We also continue to see indications of viable Ukrainian resistance."

“It’s odd how the Rooskies are targeting civilians for maximum murder death”
They are not trying to hit civilians, but the problem with the Russians is one of competence and the quality of their tech.
Unlike us they don’t have bombs, missiles and artillery that can hit a target with precision.
Their troops are demotivated conscripts who take two swings of vodka between each shot.
Combine those two, and a lot of ordinance is landing on top of houses.
US Global Warming Defense official
Because you are a damn idiot unable to recognize foreign propaganda and fake news. That's why.
Dude, seriously?
I think people need to start asking what’s next.
Everyone assumed that Russia, the world’s top 3 military power, would run over Ukraine. Now this is what is known at this time:
Russia has not secured a single major urban center.
Russia does not have complete air dominance
Russia has committed 50% of its entire nations military to this invasion, and it has huge borders to protect.
Russian new line equipment has had “disappointing” performance against old Soviet equipment.
Russia probably doesn’t have the forces to ‘occupy’ Ukraine, and without a quick victory, is going to be in serious trouble with world force projection.
Russia hasn’t seen economic blowback yet
Russia hasn’t potentially seen former Warsaw Pact countries supplying and supporting Ukraine yet.
Everyone expected a ‘quick and decisive’ Russian victory based upon the disparity in equipment and manpower. While this is still obtainable, in 10 days if the Ukraines hold out, it will be very hard to predict what is next.
I can’t imagine Putin’s conscripts being too happy when their commanders are captured and they run out of gas a few miles from the border. I’m sure these kids already thinking about going home and getting back on their phones. This one will be over soon.
Sometimes I think with these US officials, if they’re telling the truth it’s strictly by accident. Everything is propaganda with these people. They only tell you the truth if it actually suits their purpose.
Putin knows he will lose if he tries to turn Kyiv into Rotterdam 1940 or Stalingrad. He’s doing all he can and its not enough. He’s losing and he knows it.
Russian troops only 30% committed - they do not want to rubblize Kyvi - the uproar at home would depose Putin over night
No because your view is a delusion. Putin knows GD well that NATO was never going to attack Russia. Look at your map and understand why he’s attacking, not defending, and why he doesn’t just live in peace with his neighbors.
Yep, nobody gave a crap about Chechnya, this is a totally different thing.
and they’re testing new systems and tactics...
does the senior defense official have a name?
“they aren’t taking out infrastructure like electricity and water. Really weird.”
Russians simply want control of the place. They don’t want to pay to repair infrastructure unless they have no choice.
They will blow up an electric transmission pylon rather than blowing up a power plant because the repair cost for the power plant would be a thousand times more.
Bump. After seeing this video I’m convinced something stinks:

Siberian cities get gasoline from thousands of miles away.
“This Russian shit is in even worse condition than ours!”
Javelin bait
