Former Trump White House chief of staff John Kelly said Thursday on CNN’s “The Lead” that he does not understand the praise on the right for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Anchor Jake Tapper said, “We’ve heard a lot of prominent Republicans, both in politics and in conservative media, praising Vladimir Putin, even calling him a genius. What’s your response when you hear that?”

Let me make it simple.
When Trump was accused and facing a (media created) issue,
Did any General or Politician say - Barack Obama on the beach in Hawaii, he shouldn’t have told Vladimir he would work with him AFTER the Election
Why would he do that?

Putin is horrible, and shouldn’t be praised.
But Biden is probably more evil and corrupt than Putin.
And the US “intelligence” community can’t be trusted.
“Putin is smart,“
Hitler was probably smart, the Unibomber was probably smart.
None of them should be praised in any way.
Putin is displaying that he is evil, nothing else needs to said about him.
A damn shame; Russia could have gone down a positive path after the wall fell.
But they pissed away their chance to be a good nation with a leader like Putin.
Yup. And Trump was just telling the truth, not praising Putin, just recognizing reality, as Patton did with Rommel.

A better thing to say would be “I’m going to grind that dirtbags a$$ into the ground when I’m re-elected in 2024 We will drill every oil and gas well possible in the US and drive the price of oil to $20. Putin you will be bankrupt when I’m through with you”
I like that approach much better than saying he’s “smart”.
There you go! And if and when that happens, Putin will probably nod at Trump and say, “I see we understand each other very well. I missed trying to deal with an imbecile. Drink?”
That is, “I missed YOU while trying to deal with an imbicile.”
Got to be clear, here. :)
So, general Kelly, what the f are we doing in Syria? Did President Assad ask us to come in? Doesn’t he want us to leave? Have we left? If no, how are we any better than Putin?

Putin didn’t try this crap when Trump was in charge.
As the MSM never mentions, Trump is the guy who walked ALONE into the DMZ to meet Kim.

Why that moment wasn’t made into a tv commercial during the election is beyond me.
Yes. And then some.
The tragedy is that so many Americans still have no idea the great things Trump accomplished against all odds because the Democrat media had a sad over the old, corrupt dowager he defeated.

But also the fact that DMZ moment (and many other accomplishments) wasn’t a re-election commercial reflects on the political staff around him.
They could have done a much better job for him in my opinion.

Words like “praise” ought to be red flags.
The word “praise” is like the word “worship”, or the phrase “sucks up to” - it is something used to smear ones enemies.
President Trump respects the fact that some of the leaders of our adversaries act in the best interests of their nations - unlike this country’s Leftist and Globalist traitors - who put America Last.
Confusing that for “praise” is absurd at best.
