Former President Donald Trump said "everybody wanted" to get a COVID-19 vaccine when he was president and blamed vaccine mandates for low vaccine uptake among some segments of the population — even though millions of his supporters have refused to get vaccinated.
Trump, who falsely claimed vaccines cause autism in children as a presidential candidate, touted the development of COVID-19 vaccines while he was president.
"I think what we do get great credit for that they tried but it didn't work — even their side said you can't do that — is Operation Warp Speed," Trump said in an interview with the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show. "And not only the fact that the vaccines were developed in nine months as opposed to five years to 12 years."

It was a high stakes bet in the face of considerable uncertainty and "Deep State" deception. We lost.
Now we need to get government to back away from "vaccine mandates" and all the other totalitarian measures that we have seen them impose.
This is Trump’s ‘Achilles Heel.’ It is incredibly destructive to him and has been since he ever spoke about it, even while still in Office.
A vaccine simply cannot be properly developed and tested in under a year.
It takes years of development and testing to produce a proper working vaccine. I simply cannot understand his disposition regarding this subject. I have been supportive of Trump since 15 June, 2015, but this vaccine insanity is very problematic from my perspective. He simply should just shut up about it. This is a huge mistake on his part. It is the biggest one that he has ever made to my awareness.
Exactly, in trying to shame trump supporters all he does is naively reveals yet again it is the conservatives who think for themselves and the liberal who are the lemmings.
Trump did many things right and is very good for the economy, national defense and border control. It is totally worn on the vaccine and trying to ever compromise with a democrat on anything. His “tax cuts where the dems wrote much of the bill was a HUGE mistake. His not firing ALL political appointees was a HUGE mistake. If he continues to relay on any GOPe for appointees should he get back in the white house, well he deserves all the trouble and treason he gets from them.
Interestingly, vaxxes aren't mentioned. At all. Not to implicate, not to clear. Hmmmm...
Every mention about the vaccine he mentioned therapeutics (which he would have promoted), all he also mentioned the youth not getting sick. So, he would have promoted therapeutics and not masked or vaccinated kids or the young.
His policies would have saved hundreds of thousands of lives and not shut the economy. No mandates at all!

We would never have been in the situation of having to protest taking a forced vaccine.
I agree, I wanted a vaccine but we didnt get one. What we got was some untested gene therapy garbage coupled with a lot of secrecy, and suppression of other possible cures. Trump was taken for a ride.
Along with millions of Democrats and high ranking DNC officials.

Absolutely. It appears his personality doesn’t allow him to do other than double down when he has erred—however massively. But lives were and continue to be at stake with this nonsense.
Trump shouldn’t advertise that he trusted Fauci.
As said earlier, he should STFU about this and tell everyone how he’s really going to drain the Swamp, this time. He couldn’t do it last time. What’s changed?
Trump needs to focus on other things, like opposition to mandates, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, domestic energy development, America First policies, and a secure border.
All of those are huge winning issues for him and he is really good at talking about all of them.
Trump always said it would be a choice, there were to be no mandates.
I am certain if any scientific conduct occurred during a Trump 2nd Term, his administration would have quashed the vaccine developments and dealt with the perpetrators harshly.
Trump was never perfect but he was always quick to correct the course taken. That’s why we trusted him, he would be quick to correct mistakes.
What I wanted was inexpensive therapeutics. A vaccine? Sure, if it was a classic vaccine that 1) actually worked as a vaccine (as opposed to, say, the flu vaccine which doesn’t work) 2) was properly tested to ensure it was safe (not only was this not done, it actually causes more harm than good). What was delivered neither works nor was properly tested.

Yes!! Glad I read through the posts before I said something. I’m not sure why he is so proud of Operation Warp Speed.
It would be good for Trump to map out a specific plan to drain the swamp.
Good goals are great.
Successful paths to those good goals are even better.
What I’m saying is we are still waiting for a vaccine. Not an immune booster.
