Russian president Vladimir Putin has warned that the country's hypersonic missiles are ready to launch.
In a chilling video, he warned that "weapons without parallel in the world have been put on combat duty" as Kremlin forces have surged into eastern parts of Ukraine...
Speaking for the Defender of the Fatherland Day, originally a Soviet-era holiday for men who served in the Red Army, he said: “We see how difficult the international situation is, what dangers the existing challenges pose.
“Our country is always open for direct and honest dialogue, but Russia's interests and the security of our citizens are unconditional.
“So we will continue to develop and improve the army and navy.
“Weapons without parallel in the world have been put on combat duty.
“We will continue to develop advanced weapons systems including hypersonic and based on new physical principles, and expand the use of advanced digital technologies and elements of artificial intelligence.
“Such complexes are really the weapons of the future, which greatly increases the combat potential of our armed forces.
“Dear friends, as Commander-in-Chief, I am confident in you - in Russian soldiers and officers, in your high professionalism, courage and reliability, that you will protect the peace and tranquility of our citizens [and] defend the national interests of our great country.”
Moscow's foreign ministry announced it is due to launch "embassy level" relations with the two Donbas republics.
In a statement, they said: “Russia is geared towards full development of collaboration with the DPR and LPR, including between foreign policy agencies in the interests of the citizens of our countries, the strengthening of peace, regional stability and security."...

Putin knows the usurpers handlers with do nothing so he keeps tweaking our nose in it.
But how are the gender studies classes and white rage seminars going?
Why in the world would they need hypersonic missiles to attack Ukraine. Hmmmmm. Must have some other far away target in mind, just in case.
Silly bluster to scare ignorant people. Hypersonics have no needed application here and would be a waste of money to use.
It is message to the US and others would be my guess.
Gee Pootin, that’s a nice gas pipeline you have strung out to Germany. Be a shame if something happened to it.
Sorry about the lack of heat you krauts are experiencing, maybe you can turn those mothballed nuclear power plants back on?
Roflmao
Sure, Putin.
Lol.
Putin has gone full Stalin because the hardliners are breathing down his neck and not in a good way for him whatever he does.
Europe would only have a couple of minutes warning. If done correctly, the US and UK could be eliminated in less than 10 minutes. In this day with SloJoe at the switch, 10 minutes is all he needs to take out several major cities on the east and west coasts. Biden would fold like a cheap hooker.
Putin wants Ukraine and Khasistan back. These 2 areas have the minerals, oil, and food supply he needs. But he won’t stop there.
This was primarily a message for Russians on “Defender of the Fatherland Day”. No doubt he wanted the US and EU to hear it too, as a warning to stay out of Ukraine.
But if this is a “pre-season” game, they might want to try a couple. You know the US is watching closely.
They have several hypersonic missiles, one of which is similar to India’s Brahmos, the P-800 Oniks. The Oniks was reported to be the missiles fired into Syria to hit ISIS targets.
The more advanced Zircon would probably not be used against Ukraine.
Russia just last year reported they had been developing hypersonic missiles, so, it’s doubtful that they’ve been able to weaponize those in such little more time. But, scaremongering is, in itself, a weapon.
From what I read the hardliners don’t like him so he may have internal problems he can’t fix before he goes that far. ‘
Russia has plenty of missiles, but not enough troops to hold any ground larger than Donabas/Luhansk
Against anything in the Ukraine -- you are absolutely right. But they are clearly meant against different targets.
Bfl
No, they are weaponized and deployed. The announcement last year was about them working on the project for many years.
One of the earlier news items on the deployment is from 2019:

More deployment and new types since.
