John Durham has been a special prosecutor for almost a year and a half — not a long time, but plenty of time for a drumbeat to begin that he was showing little progress against his orders to examine the origins of the debunked Trump-Russia collusion narrative that convulsed a presidency. His few indictments so far have been directed against peripheral players, feeding a fear among Donald Trump’s supporters that elites higher up the stack are going to get away with their chicanery.
It is truly worth the 2 to 3 minutes required to read the linked article at The Hill.
Of course, James Comey had Hillary & Co. dead to rights, when he did that atrocious “catch-and-release” thing.
I can’t even imagine how angry Trump must have become by all these underhanded machinations against him. Oh, BTW, the underhandedness was REALLY against the USA and the Republic itself.
A lot of us are still watching and hoping, but we are also jaded.
I think you make a good point. Although the attorney-client privilege protects communications between a lawyer and client, it is not absolute. If it can be shown the lawyer and client were engaged in a crime, then none of their communications, oral or written, are protected and all would be fair game for use by the prosecutor.
Many here and elsewhere were trying to politically murder Durham because the inquiry was not being expedited based on their own personal expectations and schedules.
That’s for advising that
Very good coming from the Hill....learned things I didn’t know
Freepers rarely read past headline though you already know that
The most fun was looking at the comments meltdown. Where lefties rule
They are so funny to watch squirm and parse
Therein lies the problem. "Deserved to know" is not relevant. The FBI did not want to know on the record. Sussman wasn't just working for Hillary, he was providing cover for Obama's FBI.
There were at 2 dozen here who did the same exact thing, repeatedly, over and over and over.
Well, that certainly does look what's happening.
..but that he STILL can’t prove “intent”…
Yup. That’s what happens when you combine over reach and sloppy work. Thinking Durham may be looking at a combo of RICO and public corruption charges.
I’m saying two messages on that site. The first is that, yes, Durham is on to something and he’s proven that he is and he’s getting to the bottom of it. And some big players could finally go down.
But the second message I got from it was it Jesse watters way overstated what he actually was saying. That’s a different subject but it is even more troubling for me. If Fox is really that bad at getting to the bottom of what’s actually said by Durham, it kind of makes them look a little bit like cnn. The sad part is it falls into the arena of misinformation. And when misinformation is piled on top of real information, it makes it all stink.
Marc Elias is next...
as a taxpayer i demand my pound of flesh...
a hillary indictment will make up for about 347 taxpayer demands.
Post grad to be candid
However settled down to one subject for post dissertation fellowship since 1997
I miss some pelting

Young efette hipster males likely would faint at the sight of such a beav
Thanks, yes, very bad
One thing big law firms do have is very detailed billing records. Durham has been subpoenaing the lawyers billing records to establish who did what to whom - and for how much and who paid who. Once he has that info, he has cause he needs to go further and pierce the attorney-client privilege veil. This could be much bigger than Watergate if he can document a conspiracy between big law firms, the DOJ/FBI, FISA Court, Intelligence agencies, the media, and politicians in office and Hillary Clinton/DNC

what ever happened to those pesky billing records for hildabeast from rose law? (RIP VWF)
If the players state flat out a goal of “creating a narrative,” and that narrative is based on false, incriminating evidence,” how does that not indicate intent?
