Apple App Store lists rightwing Twitter alternative but ex-congressman tapped to lead company indicates slow rollout
Donald Trump’s rightwing riposte to Twitter – his new social media app Truth Social – is supposed to launch on Monday. But the rollout of what the former president hopes will be the start of a new media empire continues to be shrouded in confusion and secrecy.
Tim Scott speaks at a press conference. Tim Scott, only Black Senate Republican, hints he could be Trump's running mate. ... Even the new app’s name is likely to be controversial, given Trump’s legendary struggles with veracity. The Washington Post calculated that in the four years of his presidency, the man now behind Truth Social made 30,573 false or misleading claims.

It's called "agile development" .. an app is released with a core set of functionality, additional functionality is delivered during a "sprint" and continual updates/upgrades are the norm. Those are typically based on customer requests for features/functionality.
Looks to me like that's what they're doing, and they appear to be focused on Apple users first. Android users will follow and I wonder when browser based/desktop access will follow.
I refuse to use my cellphone for social media apps. That's just begging to be tracked and followed.
“Why release an app that isn’t fully functional yet?”
I’d love to ask Bill Gates why he been released software that wasn’t fully functional for decades.
Oy vey.
What is a Platform?
As long as they’re not working for Truth Social or admins. There are always doofus users.
in this context it means the entire infrastructure (except for the internet), not just the application software ...
I tried to ask that question, in my 2nd post, but not as clearly as you.
For #3, what are discriminatory references? If I say homosexuality is a sin, is that discriminatory? And what the heck are references?
10 to 1, an experienced tech guy is VP and working closely with Nunes.
Are you a computer specialist? Good to hear your information.
Thanks.
Still Nunes is out of his depth as a CEO.
I have a very broad background, much of it in app development, infrastructure, cloud and information security.
In my current role, I work with agile development teams that specialize in app development for high wealth clients at a multi-national bank.
Much of what you'll see in financial services apps, cloud apps and apps like GETTR, Cloud Social, etc.. are all user driven, meaning features & functionality that are built into the app are those that users request. Features are added over time, refined, etc.. using quick development and deployment cycles called "sprints" that typically last 2-3 weeks.
It's all about incrementalism and not letting an app get stale while adding features users want. When agile is done right, it's very successful. When it's not, it doesn't end well for the app itself or the app teams.
EXACTLY!!! Tim Scott is a HUGEEEEEE RINO. Beware of that fake deep state loser.
What’s your user name on TS, I will gladly follow you over there! I’m eternalape9
They are probably already there but laying low.
