Russian President Vladimir Putin will recognize the independence of eastern Ukraine's separatist republics, the Kremlin said in a statement Monday, adding that he had informed the French and German leaders of his decision.
"In the near future, the president plans to sign the order," the Kremlin said. It added that French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had "expressed disappointment" over the decision in phone calls with Putin.

My guess is that Donetsk and Luhansk are more like Russia than Puerto Rico is like the United States. Doesn’t stop the left from wanting to grant them statehood.

All a part of the reason I can’t give two s—ts about what Putin does in Ukraine and what goes on in Eastern Europe. I already am living under the worst leadership and the worst government on Earth. Ukraine isn’t a Hill of Beans compared to the crap we have to deal with in the most depraved, ill-led society on the planet. We are turning into a fascist dictatorship in our own right…right here where we live in a country our own leadership is trying to destroy.

So now The Bidet and his merry band of lightweights has their attention on Ukraine. Expect Xi to move on Taiwan soon. The most highly allegedly elected president in US history will surely know what to do. Oh no, that could be a real problem because whatever the dodo does will surely be the wrong move and the wrong time in the wrong place.
So Creepy Joe Biden has nothing in one hand and shit in the other. In spite for f the supposed dastardly genius of the Russians the Democrats sure do think that the senile grifter can outsmart them.

In those eastern territories all that the Russians already there have to do is pull out their Velcro army patches and pop them on their uniforms. No transportation needed.
