The government has infinite resources and can declare any act illegal. It can and does lie to justify its actions.

How does one resist that?

You shrug.

That is what they need to do.

I can tell you, but then I’d be banned.
Just think about it a bit and read up on

Perseverance. This is but one incident in a larger struggle. Pierre(Fidel) junior has to ultimately face the voters with a tenuous hold in Parliament. I think he gained short term success but has fatally undermined the Liberal Party for the next election cycle.

The new Conservative leader seems to be made of sterner stuff than her predecessor. I suspect she understands the massive error Mr. Trudeau has made.

Too offer we see politics in terms of make break it moments. Instead it is evolving and constantly shifting. I suspect this is merely a single event as Canada’s political seasons begin to change.

You don’t block passages the public uses, you block the Parliament or whatever they got for a Canuck govt HQ, a la Yeltsin/Russian White House. You call for a general strike and for the police/military to support you (or to at least not attack) and demand resignations.

Occupied Europe during ww2 showed how to resist and occupation army. As did the 13 colonies back in the day. Peaceful only works when you are dealing with a moral enemy. It does not work on a fascist/totalitarian state.
