Oh, I’ve met several European Spaniards, especially Castilian Spaniards.

As for her African ancestry...well, don’t all of us have that if one goes back far enough in the gene pool?

Yeah, I guess she probably does have some Amerindian blood; but most of that seems to have been bred out of her.

Let’s put it this way: She is lighter-skinned than many Mediterranean peoples, and they are considered white.

Nope. Most Puerto Ricans, including Sandy, have sub Saharan African ancestry, typically in range of 15-40 pct. She has obvious non-European features, regardless of skin tone.

BTW: My PR wife is 17 pct sub Saharan African and 14 pct Amerindian. Unlike here, the races mixed and even the African slave component was absorbed into the larger population. The US and South Africa were unusual in their resistance to miscegenation.
