The press has already convicted him so who cares and who actually pays them any mind anymore? Seriously, they have been wrong so often that only idiots like Cher or some other drug addled celebrity actually believes what the NYT or CNN has to say.

Plead the Fifth he is guilty in the press, make a statement and it will be twisted to imply he is guilty in the same press. Now should the AG's office claim that Trump's guilt is implied because he used the Fifth Amendment, as we learned in the Rittenhouse case, that can create a case of prosecutorial misconduct.

But again the vagaries of the law are such that none of what I understand to be real is real probably because we actually live in the Matrix.
