Grace’s Last Day: A Father Questions Hospital Protocols Leading Up to His Daughter’s Death
The Epoch Times ^ | February 13, 2022 | Matt McGregor

On Grace Schara’s last day, she had been given a combination of a sedative, an anxiety medication, and morphine leading up to her time of death at 7:27 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2021.

With an armed guard standing near the doorway of her room at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Wisconsin, Jessica, Grace’s sister and patient advocate, screamed at nurses she saw standing in the hallway begging them to help Grace, who had been admitted to the hospital on Oct. 6 after testing positive for the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus on Oct. 1.

Grace felt cold after the 6:15 p.m. morphine injection, Jessica reported. She attempted to get a nurse’s help and was told this was normal.

Jessica Facetimed her parents, Scott and Cindy, at 7:20 p.m. They both joined Jessica in her pleas.

There was nothing to be done, a nurse responded from the hallway, because Grace had been coded as Do Not Resuscitate (DNR).

Scott and Cindy yelled that she wasn’t DNR.

Your accusations are just untrue. Show me proof of a slow walking of antibiotics. Or denial of hydration. There are medical instances where we run people ok the dry side for a multitude of reasons. But this is something lay people mischaracterize. Balancing optimal volume against pathology is something that requires training and proper analysis of labs and radiology. Did you ever stop to think of that? Do you have any appreciation of what pathologies require fluid expansion vs fluid restriction? Do you know what to watch to determine optimal treatment for a given disease stare?

What evidence have you of someone ignoring legal documents of surrogacy? Remember decision making regarding scope of treatment is different than a surrogate demanding a medication that in the judgment od the physician is not warranted. In other words, o cannot ignore you telling me a patient would want everything done. That is a oatient wish. A patient cannot demand a treatment tier of in my medical judgment would be not beneficial or harmful.

So please do let me know what legal papers have been ignored. And slow walk nutrition. What do you mean by this? Are you able express what you are talking about in concrete facts. My guess is that you generalize something and have no idea what the implications are.

Without understanding specific instances where hydration, antibiotics or nutrition are withheld you have made general accusations that simply are not true as it would result in either significant torts or license action.

And I am a little tired of hearing of protocols. I would love to see a protocol that I am directed and forced to use. In hospital order systems and EMRs there are indeed standard order sets but I can alter anything of them however I would like to individualize care according to my judgment.

As I am the one with the license and scope of care to sign the orders, I have free reign to do what I think is best. People simply do not want to understand this.

Oh now you’ve done it. The Congress of fools on this thread will soon turn their pathetic derision on you. Don’t worry, it takes little time to read as they are only capable of writing simple sentences and is somewhat entertaining.

The murder of a beautiful young women at the hands of a wildly out-of-control medical industrial complex. Prayers for poor Grace and for her family. May the Lord grant her pardon and peace and console her loved ones. And may the Lord also deliver justice to everyone involved in her murder.

Perhaps the most long lasting effect of this pandemic will be the almost complete loss of respect that people will have for doctors and the medical establishment once this is over. Their ranks have been thoroughly cleansed of all the healthcare workers who truly cared about their patients. All that are left now are swindlers, psychopaths, and incompetents who will always put profit and quackery before the lives of their patients. Their lies and schemes are now being exposed in a way that people will never be able to forget. Their corruption and maliciousness will not be forgiven.

I had a 49 YO friend picked up by the paramedics after telling his wife he couldn’t catch his breath after bedtime. He had no symptoms, other than shortness of breath. The paramedics wouldn’t allow her in the ambulance. She followed in the car. When she got to the hospital, they told her he had died. The cause? COVID-19. His family has a history of heart attacks, yet they treated him as a covid patient. They told her to get vaccinated, along with her two sons. They said they put the paddles to him 4 times, but he was just gone.

They did not use any of the methods I know of for heart attack patients. They assumed one thing, and that was all they saw.

My relative was urged by her specialists (she has many comorbidities - cancer, COPD, blood clotting disorder, obesity, hypertension, etc) not to go to the hospital. She beat covid at home, but had oxygen at home and could barely move without her sats dropping very low. Her lung doctor recommended ivermectin, her GP recommended monoclonals, but she refused all of it, believing she would be over it easily because she’d heard it was mild. Nothing for her is mild though, not even cold or flu.

I firmly believe she would have died had she gone to the hospital.

Ivermectin, vitamins, minerals and a steroid inhaler. All purchased from someone OTHER THAN a so called physician. If you can avoid the professionals, do so. Most people die in hospitals. A large percentage from maltreatment and malpractice.

Um...everywhere I have worked. When DNR's are signed by the patient or by a family member that has the POA.

They are honored. Every place I have worked..@ respects the pt's wishes.

I've NEVER seen a person sedated to death....I have seen pt's with DNR's made comfortable in their final hours.

I have reconsidered your response. You offer no evidence of what you proclaim. You offer no explanation of the situation. If what you say is true then bring a lawsuit. Expose yourself to counterclaim. If you believe this is what is going ok and can prove it then have st ir where it will require testimony under oath. If it is as you say, you have excellent grounds to sue.

My guess, is, however you have only words and no proof and you would likely be laughed straight of a lawyers office.

I have been having telephone appointments with my doctors since covid became a thing. The only time I have had to go in was for a physical and blood work. It has been great. And, my insurance waives all co-pays for them.

Many years ago, I was told my then fiance was not going to make it and they were not going to try. I insisted on them doing everything in their power. No DNR so they complied (I had POA). 20 years later, we are still here, and married. I would never have any sort of DNR for him or myself.

That....is an amazing story. And, what great timing, with tomorrow being Valentine’s Day!

You’ve been blessed beyond measure....you listened to your own heart and gut.

Agree about the NO DNR, and...having a POA.

We’ve also been doing primarily tele appointments....only because they’re so much more convenient.

Thanks for sharing that *sweet* story.

The other part of the story is that I had that doctor removed from his care and actually set it up that he was not allowed in his room. I am a Mama Bear for anyone I love! The nurses loved me. lol They were amazing and supportive.
My husband has a lot of health issues but he gets great care when needed. I still have POA and he still refuses to sign a living will or DNR.

Ha! I love it!! You showed that doc!

Mama bear, indeed.

I bet the nurses got a kick out of you...and, did love you. They sound like wonderful caregivers. We should all be so lucky, right?

I imagine they truly appreciate family members being involved with the wellbeing and being advocates, for their loved ones.

Continued blessings, to you both.
