Top officials at a U.S. federal cybersecurity agency are urging a judge not to authorize at this time the release of a report that analyzes Dominion Voting Systems equipment in Georgia, arguing doing so could assist hackers trying to “undermine election security.”
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) was recently provided an unredacted copy of the report, which was prepared by J. Alex Halderman, director of the University of Michigan Center for Computer Security and Society.
The report discusses “potential vulnerabilities in Dominion ImageCast X ballot marking devices,” or electronic voting devices, according to the government.
While CISA supports public disclosure of any vulnerabilities and associated mitigation measures with election equipment, allowing the release of the report at this point “increases the risk that malicious actors may be able to exploit any vulnerabilities and threaten election security,” government lawyers said in a Feb. 10 filing in the case.
The case was brought in 2017 by good-government groups and voters who say the lack of paper ballots undermines the voting process.
U.S. District Judge Amy Totenberg, an Obama nominee overseeing the case, was urged by CISA to reject attempts to release a redacted version of Halderman’s report for now.
CISA officials want to review the information in the report and help Dominion resolve the vulnerabilities identified before the report is released. They said they weren’t able to provide a date by which they’ll be finished.
Totenberg must weigh the request against the wishes of Georgia Secretary State Brad Raffensperger, a Republican and one of the defendants, who called in late January for the release to happen immediately.

There’s a reason why Deep State keeps trying to get RCV passed nationwide....
Blatantly obvious that they are desperately trying to hide something. Like a stolen election maybe?
.
They didn’t care about security when they left a port accessible for local access by the Poll workers.
This is simply a Cover-up.
.
The mere fact that these *vulnerabilities* even exist is a threat to *election security*
What a total Charley Foxtrot our government is!!!
It’s an obvious a conflict of interest and abuse of power for Biden to use the DoJ to block evidence of fraud in the election that installed him as President. The other side should move that the judge to recuse them from the case, and give no consideration to their pleadings.
Don’t know if Sydney Powell has this auditor’s report, but Dominion and the Bidenistas have a motive to quash public release of proof that her negative claims about DVS (which they are suing her for) were plausible.
Well, just the headline on this one pretty much tells the story, don't you think.??? :(
If they fix the vulnerabilities, then there should be no concerns. If the vulnerabilities are not repaired, the machines should not be used.
I don’t understand the complication.
Nothing to see here!
So full of sh!t it’s coming out his ears.

Most of us on this site have been told that these Dominion machines can easily be manipulated. Was there ever a problem with our voting machines prior to these Dominion ones? I do not recall any complaints prior to Dominion. Perhaps, I know zip?
Bttt.

It’s like a crook saying that there was no theft, but the theft shouldn’t be investigated, because it could cause similar thefts as the crook is accused of doing.
Guilty!!
They’re trying to hide the info because it would show election fraud.
Bigly.
reminds me of the Kevin Costner movie No Way Out. Massive coverup.
I thought it was a crime to interfere with a judge while a decision was in progress.
It misses the point. The machines didn’t need to be hacked. The code was written to switch a certain percentage of votes and then sanitize itself when the deed was done. In Georgia they realized not enough votes were being switched so half way through the count it was stopped and a “software update” was applied. The GOP let it stand and the deep state coward Pence certified it.
Example of why they want to cover up. The democrats are behind the massive cheating.

My God, it's a thing of beauty, and it's an argument that would WORK.
But, he won't do it. Why? Because up until two weeks ago, Riffraffenaspergers has opposed the release of even the redacted report.
"Little has been revealed about the report in court sessions and in court documents but the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that it concluded hackers could change votes if they gained access to the machines ... Several media outlets are also asking for the report’s release, as are plaintiffs in the case.We do support public disclosure of a slightly redacted copy of the report and have been pushing for that for months,” David Cross, one of the plaintiffs’ lawyers, told The Epoch Times in an email.
Cross noted that Raffensperger has until his recent statement opposed the release of the report, which was filed in July 2021.
“His lawyers have objected to every request we and Dr. Halderman have made to the Court over the last several months to make the report public and provide it to federal and state election security officials. His implication that Dr. Halderman or the judge has prevented him and his office from learning the substance of the report and addressing the many serious BMD vulnerabilities identified in it is simply untrue,” he wrote."
Absolutely right. See post 36. Riffraff is lying rat mole who cheated Trump and then handed the Senate to the rats and the cucks who run the GOP let him do it.
What are they trying to hide?
The election steal, of course.
