Truckers protesting vaccine mandates in Canada remained defiant overnight Friday in the face of a court order and an emergency declaration telling them to leave the Ambassador Bride connecting Ontario to Michigan.
Around 100 protesters remained early Saturday after law enforcement failed to take action, according to CBC News.
"Do you think I care? Do you think I care about a fine?" one protester said. "I'm going to pay a fine? No. You think I care about their mandates? No. This needs to end."

No. They need to see it through, they cannot give up now. If the government arrests them with police-state theatrics then the government loses god will and gives the truckers the justification to start a general strike and then the government will be forced to capitulate or start a revolution. Pissing off the very class of people who are logistically critical for a revolution is madness. Even the railroad workers might get in on it.
Trudeau, being the elite snake that he is, has pissed off too many of the wrong people.

Strangely also, there are no reports about severity. Everyone saying, “Gee, we don’t know if it’s more severe. All we know is that it’s more contagious.”
Even if it isn’t more severe, plenty of people were hospitalized and plenty died from Omicron B.1, even though it was less severe than Delta.
And great numbers automatically mean more sickness and death, even if lesser cases mathematically.
But I’m suspicious more of the vanishing media coverage than I am about the fact that it’s growing so fast in places where it has started. It’s half of all cases in some countries.

But the incident itself, with all its massive publicity, will probably be a precedent for having no more controls at the borders in terms of covid. Or any other disease.
The philosophical disease spreaders will have won, not the truckers, regardless of how much disease they do or don’t spread in actuality.
It depends on reporting of cases. That’s the only data they have.
