Remember when the protestors in DC were herded into the football stadium?
lol
mount an extra fuel tank?
There are tanker trucks, you know.
Dispersed throughout the convoy, or
placed at rest stops along the route.
Way too late. Canadians have done the job.
Union workers and officials were raised well, never bite the hand that feeds you.
My grandma told me about a strike broken up in Colorado. I can’t remember when the strike was, pre-1960’s I am sure. They pulled a stunt on them like with the bonus army in DC. Went in with guns blazing, and the po po or the FBI saw NOTHING.
Also through Knoxville.
Sorry 1914.
408 strikers were arrested, 332 of whom were indicted for murder.[36]
Of those present at Ludlow during the massacre, only John R. Lawson, leader of the strike, was convicted of murder, and the Colorado Supreme Court eventually overturned the conviction.[34] Twenty-two National Guardsmen, including 10 officers, were court-martialed.[36] While Linderfelt was found responsible for the deaths of Tikas and other strikers that exhibited execution-style injuries, he and all others were acquitted.[37]
Good thing there was no George Floyds there. sarcasm/
Yep. We might as well as forget it. The FBI is on this. So there would be no surprises. The time to act was two weeks ago. But that ship has sailed.
Why are they going to Wilmington NC?
The Feds will have roadblocks setup 100+ miles from DC in all incoming highways stopping and inspecting all trucks inbound to DC area, only allowing in trucks carrying loads with manifests showing their delivery is for the DC area. All other semi trucks will be turned away!
Believe truckers tried to do this years ago - lay seige to DC, but then they announced their plans in advance and the Feds put roadblocks on all highways/roads leading into DC, stopping all Semis without loads and manifests showing the load was a legit delivery for DC/metro area!
A better idea would be for both independent truckers and trucking companies to simply refuse to haul deliveries into the DC area until the mandates get lifted. The American Trucking Association opposes the vax mandates!
To get to DC from Coachella, Ca. the logical route is I-10 to I-40. Once they get to TN. or VA they would then change again to a direct route to DC.
Being a west coast guy I do not know the best options on the east coast. But I do think that west of the Mississippi their are few options.
Understood. No problemo.
Thank you, that is the event I was alluding to. My grandfather was on the periphery of this. He hauled to and from.
Do NOT allow your parents or grandparents to pass away without knowing their eyewitness history. That is important. What else is important is to keep a journal yourself. It will be your most valuable possession both before and after your passing.
My grandfather took us to the site when I was young. I remember it well even though I was young. My grandfather even found a man in town who was there when it happened and the man gave us a firsthand account.
That was back when average working folks were treated like dirt and the government and businesses conspired together to put down any strike, violently.
My grandfather was making a point that unions were a good thing and people died. Sadly, modern day unions are no better than big government and big business. And no, the teachers unions are evil. So I am not a die hard union person. But there are injustices in the world and sometimes you have to fight... a war, strike, etc.
George Floyd. Yes, unless you are a favored group, average folks are still treated like dirt.
Seems like history might be repeating itself.
Please see my post #52.
I was too young for a journal. But I remember the trip to Ludlow. :)
