That is a great song.

Danny O'Keefe never got the big boost, in his career, that I thought he deserved, with that one.

He was one of the acts at the Long Beach Banjo Fiddle and Guitar festival in the late 70's. I was working the "green room" (coaches lounge) and had a chance to meet him, though just briefly. I really thought he was on his way up with that song.

But just about everybody you can name recorded it, so I am sure he did well with the royalties.
