That is the duty of the executive branch: the DoJ, the DHS, etc. When the Capitol Police were converted into riot police on Jan 06, 2020 the destruction of the constitutional doctrine of the separation of powers began... and remember that the executive - Prez Trump - offered the Speaker National Guard troops to handle any trouble that day... the Speaker has suppressed that offer in order to use her 'Select Committee' to indict Prez Trump for fomenting insurrection. {Let's see if she can 'indict' or whether she actually properly goes to the Attorney General...}
