Georgia gubernatorial candidate former Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) is slamming both Democrat Stacey Abrams and Republican Gov. Brian Kemp in a new “Unmask Our Kids” digital ad campaign in the Peach State, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.
Perdue’s campaign on Monday morning will release a 15-second digital ad featuring the photograph of Abrams not wearing a mask while every child in a classroom she spoke to was forced to wear one. In the ad, provided to Breitbart News exclusively ahead of its public release, text appears on screen first slamming Abrams: “This is the Georgia Stacey Abrams wants.”
Then, Perdue turns his sights on his GOP primary opponent for not outlawing masks on children in schools. “This is the reality Brian Kemp has allowed,” the text on screen says.
Then the ad says, “Unmask our kids.”
“We all know Stacey Abrams’ hypocrisy knows no bounds,” Perdue said in a statement provided exclusively to Breitbart News. “Liberals’ thirst for power during this pandemic has caused enormous damage to our kids, while the elite like Stacey continue living their lives. What is even worse is that this is a classroom in Brian Kemp’s Georgia, not New York or California. Many Georgia kids are facing this mask nonsense every day. Kemp has failed students and parents by allowing liberal school districts to force mask mandates upon them. It’s a disgrace and it needs to end. It’s time to empower parents and reign in these power-hungry career politicians.”
During the entire ad, the backdrop is the photo of Abrams egregiously not wearing a mask while all the children in the school classroom behind her are wearing one. Abrams had originally tweeted the photo but removed it from her Twitter feed when she realized how hypocritical it made her look.

Vote for Vernon!
Perdue is just the same as all of the other RINO gopee politicians.
I agree. Perdue did nothing as a Senator, did not fight for the Senate seat, said nothing after he was “defeated”, and now acts like he is some conservative warrior. Vernon as on top of it and saying the right things when he was still a Democrat. Vote Vernon.
Anti-American China/DNC/GOP_e sellouts Brian Kemp, David Ralston, Brad Raffensperger, Chris Carr and unelected traitors Jody Fuchs and Gabriel Sterling must all be punished. Remove them from power and save Georgia.
Geoff Duncan too, but the good news is he’s bowing out on his own.
And Fat Albert.
Does Kemp actually have the authority to ban school masking, or is he, like Youngkin in Virginia, faced with a statute standing in the way? Any Georgians out there who know?
Go Vernon!
She should be arrested and criminally charged with
Reckless Endangerment ofg as Child
Attempted Murder of a Child
is there not a single DA in the County willing to ENFORCE THE LAW??
I support Vernon Jones, too, but I’m getting the impression he’s putting feelers out to exit the Gubernatorial race for a possible Congressional run, as long as it comes with a Trump endorsement.
I don’t care if the Tank wears a mask, that’s not the problem.
The problem is the damn government forcing anyone to wear one.
Vernon Jordan is no different than Perdue and Kemp. They are all RINOs and Kemp is a straight up criminal. Kandiss Taylor is the only good candidate.
But the positive thing that may come out of all this is constitutional carry in GA. Looks to me like Kemp in his desperation to remain Governor must have made a few calls and suddenly constitutional carry is being voted out of committee where it has languished for years and will likely make it to the floor of the senate for a vote.
Actually, I thought she was at the school touting Michelle Obama’s school lunch program of more veggies, fruits, grains, and low fat milk. She’s the perfect spokesmodel for it.
Kemp is as crooked as a snake's back!
From an obit in the KC Star today. It broke my heart:
After a dark painful year, we finally understand that we are not waking up from this horrible nightmare. Our beautiful, smart, insightful, sensitive baby boy is not going to miraculously reappear. Christopher left us Feb 7, 2021. He was 13 years old.
Our boy should have succeeded. We and his teachers worked to give him the structure he needed to function in our world. When the schools shut down he was lost. And we lost.
We need to recognize that these kids, ESPECIALLY middle schoolers, are in a very vulnerable stage in their lives. Children were left drifting in the wind. And our boy drifted away.
God help us if “Lardass” Abrams ever gets elected and the taxpayers have to pay for her groceries and snacks.
See, the point of this whole mask thing is not for us to be protected from one another, it’s for them to be protected from us, the great germy masses. Rich and powerful people don’t have to be masked so long as the help remains masked at all times. (Refresh our drinks, faceless nobodies.)
Plus, conditioning small children to obey foolish rules is likely to come in very handy at a later date.
We already have too many Black people influencing our children.
I can’t blame Vernon Jones for seeking an exit strategy; he had a path to victory running one-on-one against Kemp, but, with both Kemp and Perdue in the race, Jones has virtually no chance of making the run-off.
DJ, in which congressional district would Vernon Jones run? The DeKalb County-based CDs are safely Democrat, so he’d have to move to some other part of the state and be accused of carpetbagging. But if he can overcome that, I’d love for Jones to run against Sanford Bishop in the winnable, 45%-or-so-black GA-02.
Mentions here if he runs for Congress that he would go for the redrawn (and open) 6th or the 10th (with Jody Hice leaving to run for Sec of State). The 6th already has strong declared candidates and the 10th is already jam-packed with candidates (Hice has endorsed State Rep. Tim Barr and solid Conservative ex-Rep. Paul Broun is running, too)
The 2nd against Bishop would be too far to go, opening him up to charges of carpetbagging. 2 Black Republicans are already running (with one White, which might split the vote). Jeremy Hunt, one of the two, has the endorsement of Sens. Hawley & Cotton (though no GA pols have apparently openly endorsed yet).
Thanks, DJ.
I agree that the GA-06 and GA-10, neither of which include Vernon Jones’s home area (although they are at least partly in the Atlanta media market) already have quite a few prominent conservatives in the race and that it would be difficult for Jones to slip in there.
I also agree that Jones running in the GA-02 would be a more obvious case of carpetbagging, but I fear that we do need a more high-profile candidate in that district, so it may be worthwhile to run Jones there. Currently, there are five Republican candidates in GA-02 with campaign websites (which denotes a bare minimum of seriousness; I’m not paying attention to the nobody with no website and no cash who also filed to run), three black and two white. The two white candidates, Wayne Johnson and Chris West, have raised $139,000 and $105,000, respectively, through December 31. The three black candidates, Vivian Childs, Tracy Taylor and Jeremy Hunt, have raised a bit over $6,000, less than $2,000, and $0, respectively. Jeremy Hunt sounds good on paper, but unless he can achieve some serious fundraising he won’t even make the primary run-off, much less be able to take down Bishop in the general.
It would be extremely difficult to beat Sanford Bishop in the GA-02, even as redrawn to make it a bit less Democrat (but still strongly leaning that way), without eating into his margins among black voters. Among the current GOP candidates, only Hunt seems like a possibility to defeat Bishop, and he literally had raised no money as of a little more than a month ago. Unless Hunt kicked butt in his fundraising in January, I would rather cut bait and have Vernon Jones move to Columbus or Macon or elsewhere in the GA-02 and run there.
