The major shareholder feels this can best be accomplished by turning CNN back into a reputable news organization. Cuomo gave the matter a push for his own 18 million reasons by suggesting that Zucker's long-known relationship imperiled the sale. Whether that's true or only an excuse, CNN wasn't going to improve its profitability with Zucker at the helm. What's causing the screaming is the suspicion that the new boss thinks it isn't going to turn a profit with the others on the staff onboard either. Which is probably true.
