I was inclined to stopped watching the show until I read that it had lost.

My wife and I kept watching to see her/him/it fall. At first we were stunned, and then we broke out in cheers. It was tiresome to watch Ken Jennings' obsequious fawning over "her".

We mainly watch it as a brain exercise.

Indeed. Same here. It got really boring.
